Dhorpatan trek is off the beaten path trail of Dhaulagiri trekking region. Dhorpatan hunting reserve is also an attractive destination, controlled hunting allowed with proper license and certain seasons in the year. Dhorpatan is the only one destination in Nepal where authorization for hunting is permitted. Dhorpatan trek offers an opportunity to discover areas that still exist without being affected by western influences.

    Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu
    Altittude: 1400m
    Upon your arrival in Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, Our representative will be there to meet, greet and assist you. You will be then transferred to your confirmed hotel. You can spend the remaining time in refreshing yourself after the jet lagging flight. Overnight in Hotel.

    Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
    After Breakfast, the guided full day sightseeing starts around Kathmandu. Here you can feast your eyes on the rich and colorful history of the country. The tour includes Kathmandu Durbar Square- houses the old royal palace of the Kathmandu kingdom, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple- swarming with monkeys), Pashupatinath- one of the most significant Hindu temple of Lord Shiva in the world, Boudha Stupa- one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu. You will be able to observe the country in its original status. From the top of the SwayambhuNath Temple to the fluttering of colorful prayer flags at Boudha Stupa, you will be able to feel the way of life of the people living in Kathmandu Valley.     Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Beni
    Altitude: 830m, Drive duration: 10 hours
    After having Breakfast in the hotel, you will start your day with the drive from Kathmandu to Beni via Pokhara. You can see the beautiful view of Nepal's countryside and the beautiful scenery of rivers, streams. Jungles as well as mountains on a clear day. Overnight / Camp.

    Day 4: Drive to Darbang and trek to Dharapani
    Altitude: 1565m, Drive duration: 2/3 hours, Hike duration: 5 hours
    You will drive to the trek commencing point Darbang after having breakfast and start walking up to Khop. The trail heads through the bank of stream and from the bank you will start ascending up to reach Dharapani. Overnight / Camp.

    Day 5: Dharapani to Lamsung
    Hiking duration: 6/7 hours
    Today, you will head towards Lamsung. Lamsung is the remote area but rich in stream and gorges and jungles with wild environment. You will reach Lamsung and after having lunch you can explore the wonderful place. Here you can also see the beautiful landscape and the surrounding enviromnent. Overnight / Camp.

    Day 6: Lamsung to Jaljala
    Altitude: 3430m, Hiking duration: 7 hours
    After having breakfast in your camp, your trek will start to reach Jaljala. The trail ascends through forest of Rhododendron, Oaks etc throughout the trek. You can observe the scenery of green jungle, and high mountains including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Gurja Himal, Churen Himala, Putha Himala etc along the way and from Jaljala. Overnight / Camp.

    Day 7: Jaljala to Dhorpatan
    Altitude: 2860m, Hiking duration: 7 hours
    Today, the trek is almost flat and easy walking. You will descend towards Khahare Khola (stream) in the beginning of your trek. After crossing Khahare, the trail goes ahead on the bank of stream and through mixed forests to reach Dhorpatan. Dhorpatan is a wonderful place in the middle of the jungle. You can enjoy the wild beauty of the place. Overnight / Camp.

    Day 8: Exploration day around Dhorpatan Valley. 
    Today is your Exploration day around Dhorpatan Valley. You will visit the local village of Kham/Magar and Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve. Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve is only one of the Hunting Reserve of Nepal where legal sport trophy hunting is allowed. You can also enjoy a small hiking to the Subiran Danda. Overnight / Camp.

    Day 9: Trek to Phagune Phedi
    Altitude: 4493m, Hiking duration: 3/4 hours
    You will have your breakfast in the camp and commence trekking to reach Phagune Phedi. You will walk through the steep ascending trail enjoying the beautiful scenery of the mountain views, green jungle, landscape and the surroundings. Overnight / Camp.

    Day 10: Hike to Phagune danda and back to Jungle camp
    Hiking duration: 7 hours
    Early in the morning, you will go for hike to Phagune danda from where you can see the beautiful view of Himalayan ranges, the surrounding environment and the landscape. After enjoying the panoramic view and the countryside environment, you will start descending down to reach Jungle camp. Today, you will walk for approximately 7 hours to reach Jungle Camp. Overnight / Camp.

    Day 11: Jungle Camp to Gurjaghat
    Altitude: 3000, Hiking duration: 6 hours
    After having breakfast in the Jungle camp, you will commence walking for Gurjaghat. The trail leads to the flat land through mixed jungle and streams along the way. Overnight / Camp.

    Day 12: Gurjaghat to Patichaur
    Altitude: 900m, Hiking duration: 6 hours
    You leave Gurjaghat and start ascending to the top of hill, and then descending to Gorge. On the way to Patichaur, you will walk through the Jungle on most hours of the trek. Overnight / Camp.

    Day 13: Patichaur to Darbang and to Beni
    Altitude:1150m/ 830m
    Today is the last day of your trekking program. After having breakfast in Patichaur, you will commence walking up and then down through wild environment which includes Jungle, the singing of the birds and small insects and Gorges. By continuous walking, you will reach Darbang. From Darbang, you will catch the vehicle to reach Beni. Now, after having 2-3 hours of drive from Darbang, you will reach Beni. Overnight Local Lodge.
    Hiking duration: 5 hours

    Day 14: Beni to Kathmandu
    Drive duration:10 hours
    Today, you will drive back to Kathmandu. You will have your breakfast in the lodge in Beni and catch the bus to drive back to Kathmandu; you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the countryside of Nepal from the window of your Vehicle.Once you reach Kathmandu, you will check-in to your hotel and Overnight stay.

    Day 15: Departure

    Finally, today is the last day of your Nepal program. After having breakfast, you will pack your luggage, get fresh and check out from the hotel. You will be transferred to the International airport to catch the flight for your onward destination.
