Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)
Upon your arrival in the Kathmandu airport, our representative will meet, greet and welcome you and transfer you to your confirmed hotel. You can rest relax and enjoy your time in the hotel or you can stroll around the city. Overnight in hotel.
Day 2: Kathmandu to Chalsa via Phaplu (2515m)
Hiking duration: 4/5 hours
After having breakfast in the hotel, you will fly from Kathmandu to Phaplu at 2470m (40 minutes). From Phaplu, you will start trekking to reach salleri which is the headquarters of Solukhumbu district where you will have a short tea-break. Salleri lies just above the river line and you can have the beautiful views of the valley and surrounding areas. From Salleri you hike to Chalsa, a Tibetan refugee village located on top of hill. In Chalsa, you will have time to observe the local culture and lifestyle along with the spectacular views of different peaks of the Himalayan range. Overnight in local lodge.
Day 3: Chalsa to Bogal Danda (2120m)
Hiking duration: 5/6 hours
Today your hike is slowly downhill and you will walk through several villages with some scattered houses. You also see the beautiful views of Makalu and Mera La, two giant mountains in Everest region. Around mid-day you reach Nele, a local market area. You will have some rest in Nele and continue walking up-hill to reach Bogal Danda. Overnight in local lodge.
Day4: Bogal Danda to Twentar (650m)
Hiking duration: 5 hours
You will have your Breakfast in the lodge and start walking down to Twentar, the lowest point on the trek at 650m. Your whole day trek goes on from several villages of different ethnic groups prevailing in Nepal such as Rai/Chettre / Bramahn / Dalit communities. You will walk through Sal forest and the trail is going up and down where you will hear the natural chant of rivers and streams. The jungle is natural habitat for monkeys, deers, cheetas and bears; sometimes you might co-inside with any of them on the way. You will reach the riverside in the afternoon which lies 490 meter above sea level. This area is famous spot for fishing, if you are interested, you can try to catch a fish or just relax and go for a swim. Overnight in local lodge.
Day 5: Twentar to Necha village (1720m)
Hiking duration: 5 hours You will start ascending up through beautiful jungle to reach the higher lands of the Himalaya. In the afternoon, you will reach Necha and explore the local people's village and their lifestyle and the surrounding environment. Necha is a village which offers beautiful Mountain view. Overnight in local lodge.
Day 6: Rest Day in Necha Village
Today is your rest day in Necha Village. You can rest and relax and explore around the village along with the hospital. Afterwards, you can visit local people's houses and can enjoy the food provided by them with hospitality. Here, you will get adequate time to interact with local people. You also can explore the features of local attitude and behavior, and the challenges of living in an isolated mountain area of Nepal. In every Thursday, local people organize the market in which they involve in buying and selling of local and imported products. You might get the opportunity to visit the local market, in case the trip will fall on a Thursday. Overnight in local lodge.
Day 7: Necha to Gairi (2200m)
Hiking duration: 4 hours
You will have your breakfast in Necha Village and start walking down to Gairi. You will walk through farmer’s villages and fields enjoying the natural surroundings along with the mountain view of some of mountains to reach Gairi. You will reach Gairi in the afternoon. Gairi is a village with the scattered settlement of Tamang and Newar community. You can observe the culture and explore the village in the evening. Overnight in local lodge.
Day 8: Gairi to Pattale (2650 m)
Hiking duration: 5 hours
You will commence walking up-hill to reach Pattale. The trek will take you from deeply embedded forest to the grasslands, the grazing field of local Yaks. This area is one of the colder zones, among the places, you will go through during the trek. In the afternoon you reach Patale village, known for its beautiful Mountain View point. Overnight in local lodge.
Day 9: Paatale to Pike Base Camp (3450m)
Hiking duration: 6 hours
You will leave Paatale and head towards The Pike Base Camp. You will walk to the top of the hill through Rhododendron and Juniper forests with great views on the valley or mountains. On the way, there are just few small villages. In the evening, you will reach Pike Base Camp. Here, you can see numbers of Yak houses which can serve you Yak milk. Overnight Camp.
Day 10: Summit Pike (4047m) and return to Base Camp
Hiking duration: 1.5 hours
Today, you will climb the Pike peak. You hike from base camp to the summit. At the summit you can see the world’s highest mountain Mount Everest; named after the first person who ever measured the height of the mountain. At this point the guide will tell you about the mountain and other ranges. You will also have an amazing panorama view on the greater Himalayas. You will return back to the base camp and you can spend the remaining time in exploring the area. Overnight Camp.
Day 11: Pike Base Camp to Tamakhani (2240m)
Hiking duration: 6/7 hours
You will have your Breakfast in the camp and commence walking to reach Tamakhani. You will pass through several villages and see the lifestyle of the local population on the way to Tamakhani. Overnight in local lodge.
Day 12: Tamakhani to Phaplu
Hiking duration: 6/7 hours
Today is the last day of your trekking. You will move to Phaplu from Tamakhani which takes 6-7 hours walking. Upon your arrival in Phaplu, you will check-in to the lodge where you will get the facilities like good room, nice hot sour, and choice on foods etc. Overnigh in local lodge.
Day 13: Fly from Phaplu to Kathmandu
Flight durataion: 40 mins
You will have your breakfast in the lodge and then you will move towards the Phaplu airport to fly back to Kathmandu. You might see some of the mountain ranges if the weather is clear. Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. You can use the remaining time of your day in rest and relaxation. Overnight in hotel.
Day 14: In Kathmandu
Today, you have a full free day to either explore the city or freshen up yourself. You can either engage in strolling around the city and shopping token of love for your loved ones. Overnight in hotel.
Day 15: Departure
You are free until your estimated time of departure. You will be transferred to the airport to catch the flight for your onward destination.
