Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

Welcome to Nepal. As you land in the Tribhuwan International Airport and complete your formality you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your respective hotel for your stay. Give rest to your jetlagged body as we have an exciting trip ahead in the following days. You can either take rest in the hotel or you can roam around in the streets of Thamel and shop for the necessary trekking gears as well. Enjoy the delicious Nepali cuisine in the hotel and warm hospitality of the hotel staffs. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (823m)

Drive Duration: 5-6 hours:

The trek starts from today. You shall move on to the scenic city of Pokhara, the City of Lakes. On the way you shall be driving along the curvy roads along the torrential Trishuli River. Head northwest slowly, steadily, and as the Annapurna range of the Himalayas grows taller in the distance. Green and gray hills and intermittent glimpses of Himalayas in the backdrop of blue sky, rural lifestyle of the locals along the route, famous local delicacies on various stops en route, local markets alongside the tourists restaurants along the road, waterfalls and smaller streams are all part of the beautiful journey to Pokhara. The greetings from hospitable people of the beautiful mountain city along with the enchanting peaks end our day. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 3: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul then trek toTikhedhunga, (1540m)

Duration:1 hour Drive, 4-5 hours Trek

The actual Ghorepani Poonhill Trek starts from today. You shall initially drive to bustling spot of Nayapul (42km away) passing through the scenically rich village of Lumle. This starts our walking activity in the trekking . Start exploring the beautiful trail as you walk down to the river and cross the suspension bridge. You ascend along the stone stairs to main village at the ridge and follow the trail along the Modi River for about 20 minutes to arrive at Birethati, a town located on the confluence of Modi and Burundi River. You further walk along the beautiful route with bamboo forests, and cool water springs along the way. Continuing along the trail you gradually climb to reach the destination for overnight stay, Tikhedhunga village. Overnight in Tikhedhhunga.

Day 4: Trekking from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2840 m/9318 ft): 7-8 hours:

A long and demanding trek waits for us. After crossing the suspension bridge on the Bhurungdi River, you trek to the Ulleri, a village inhabited by Magar community, climbing on the stone stairs. We continue our exploration through rhododendron forests, green meadows, cultivated fields and smaller streams. You may spot one of the several birds such as redstarts, kingfishers, dippers, forktails along the river and magpies, treepies and others along the cultivated areas. The trail continues through the settlement at Nangethanti to reach the destination of Ghorepani. You have the beautiful view of magnificent mountain ranges including the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Hiuchuli and Tarke Kang including others. Overnight in Ghorepani.

Day 05: Ghorepani-Poonhill- Tadapani (2,700m).:

One of the most beautiful days in the entire trekking expedition is in store for the trekkers. You  start early to watch the breathtaking sunrise from the hilltop of Poonhill. This magical moment when the golden rays of Sun paints the giants of Mt Dhalagiri (8,167m), Annapurna massif (Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Annapurna South), Mt Machhapuchhre or Fishtail Mountain (6,997m), Dhampus Peak (6,021m), Tukuche Peak (6,920m) and others is beyond description and worth the 45 minutes uphill climb to the top of the hill. Capturing the moment shall be a treat for the rest of the life. You then descend the hill and continue your trek for Tadapani after the lunch. On the further section of today’s trek you navigate through the colorful rhododendron forest, seen blooming like anything in the spring season. Along the ridge and through the pine and rhododendron forest you reach Deurali and further descend leads  to Tadapani.

Day 06: Tadapani to Ghandruk(1940m)

Trek Duration:5-6 hours:

The trek becomes more beautiful as you move further along the trekking trail. You walk down through the steep trails initially and pass through the beautiful rhododendron forests. The beauty of this forest, especially when the rhododendron flower blossoms, takes the beauty of the trail to the next level. The blossom of cherries further enriches the trail as you move further and you reach the village of Ghandruk. Ghandruk is the second largest Gurung settlement in Nepal and provides a further insight into the lifestyles of villages that have traditionally provided the backbone of the famous Gurkha regiments. This village provides us with the view of Fishtail, Hiunchuli, and Annapurna South along with the Gurung Museum as the other highlight. Cherish the rich Gurung culture in the village. Overnight in Ghandruk.

Day 7: Ghandruk to Pokhara(823m)

Duration:4-5 hours

You shall reach Pokhara via Nayapul today. You start today’s trek with the descend to Birethati along the stone steps moving through villages and cultivated lands. You reach to Ghandruk on similar path and to the Modi River. The downhill walk continues as you pass through the small town of Birethanti. Little after the trek  reach to the initial point of our actual trekking, Nayapul. You drive back to Pokhara from this place. This marks the end of our on-foot journey.  Rest along the ever beautiful Lake side in Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.

 

Day 8: Pokhara drive back to Kathmandu.

Drive Duration: 5-6 hours drive:

Today you drive back to the Kathmandu valley after the completion of your wonderful trek. Following the same route to the Pokhara valley you trace your journey back to the medieval city of Kathmandu. The trail is as beautiful and attractive as it was in the first encounter. The hills and streams, rivers and rivulets and the landscape along with the hospitable locals make our return journey more beautiful. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 9: Farewell Day:

A journey to the land of fairytale comes to an end today. In the time remaining, if any, you can have some souvenirs for your near and dear ones back in your native place. The memories of this small yet marvelous nation always hold a special place for the nature lovers. Our representative shall drop you at the Tribhuwan International Airport for your journey back to your destination. We hope for your revisit to the other enchanting trekking destinations.
