In this tour, you can see the many artisans and how they create art.

Note: This short handcraft tour package gives you a basic knowledge of wooden, metal, ceramic and soil handicrafts in Nepal. For tourists who wish to understand and learn more about the Nepali handicrafts, we can make a-week to a month-long itinerary according to your need.

  • Day 1

    Arrival at Kathmandu

  • Upon your arrival at the Kathmandu airport, our representative will meet, greet and welcome you and transfer you to your confirmed hotel. You can rest, relax and enjoy your time at the hotel or you can stroll around the Thamel area. Overnight in Hotel.

  • Day 2

    Visit to Live Meuseum

  • You will be visiting Bungmati, an outskirt village at Lalitpur, to explore traditional wooden handicraft. You can watch the live artwork of the artisans, talk to sculptors and take pictures. In the same time, tourists can observe the traditional Bungmati village, people and their livelihood. Overnight in Hotel.

  • Day 3

    Visit to Patan

  • Today, you will head towards Patan where you can see the traditional artwork of metal handicraft at work. You will be surprised by the sheer amount of concentration and hard work that the artisans put in every minute details in sculptures. Overnight in Hotel.

  • Day 4

    Onward to the old city of Bhaktapur

  • Bhaktapur, an ancient city, is our destination for today. On reaching Bhaktapur, you can see the art in motion and the UNESCO World Heritage site, Bhaktapur Durbar Square. After some sightseeing around the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, you will take part in pottery making. Pottery making in Bhaktapur is done by the traditional methods. After finishing the lessons, return to Kathmandu and have rest. Overnight in Hotel.

  • Day 5

    Excursion to Woolen handicrafts factory

  • Around 09:30 AM, our Guide will come to pick you up and transfer you to the Factory of Woolen handicrafts. It will take about 45 minutes drive to reach there. Here, you will be welcomed by the Specialist of the factory, who will also brief you about the things which you are going to know. After that, you will enter the factory and observe how a single thread of wool are attached to each other and converted into a product ready to use. You will also get to see how these types of cottage industry help both (educated and uneducated) manpower to get employment. Here, you will also know where these handicrafts are supplied and which place are the main markets for these products. After getting all the information about woolen handicrafts, you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Hotel.

  • Day 6

    Visit to Stone handicrafts Factory

  • After having breakfast in the hotel, you will get ready to leave the hotel for handicraft tour. Your Guide and Driver will be there at 09:30 AM who will transfer you to the location where you can see the process of making handicrafts from the bulk of stone. Here, you will see the locals engage in making stone handicrafts and architecture. If you like, you can directly consult with the local artists and know more about the stone architectures. You will be transferred back to the hotel after the excursion. Overnight in Hotel.

  • Day 7

    Visit to Nigalo handicrafts Factory

  • Today, you will be visiting another handicraft workshop. This workshop specializes in making handicrafts made from bamboo and nigalo. On reaching the workshop, you can see different types of materials like a chair, Tea table, different gift items, dustbins, baskets made by using the Nigalo and Bamboo. Here, you will also see how these items are made and will know in which part of the country, the plant is found and how the supply of the manufactured product is done. After visiting the factory, you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Hotel.

  • Day 8

    Excursion to Mat making Factory

  • Around 09:30 AM, who will transfer you to the location where Nepali Mat making work goes on. While you reach the factory, you will be briefed by the guide about the process of making the mat. Inside the factory, you will see the women engaged in making mats by using the threads of various color. You will return back to the hotel after visiting the site. Overnight in Hotel.

  • Day 9

    Excursion to Khukuri making Factory

  • After breakfast, you will get ready to leave for the handicrafts tour to Khukuri (Nepali Knife) factory. Here, you will see the people working on the fire, made of wood, to give appropriate heat to the iron rod which is used for making Khukuri. After, visiting the factory, you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Hotel.

  • Day 10

    Tibetan singing bowls Factory

  • Today, you will be transferred to the place where Singing Bowls are manufactured. You will visit the factory and see the actual manufacturing process. The guide and the specialist of Singing Bowl will also brief you about the entire process of making the same. After gaining the knowledge about the bowls, you will be transferred to hotel and your program concludes here. Overnight in Hotel.

  • Day 11


  • Have your breakfast early in the morning and our office representative will come to pick you up at the hotel to transfer you to the airport regarding your flight time. Have a safe journey onwards.
