It is home to the Impedance Pheasant, Red billed blue magpie, shy dragon, snow leopard and along with that amphibian and mammals resides over here. Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)
After arriving in Kathmandu, our office representative will pick you up from the airport and will transfer you to hotel. In the afternoon, you may take a restas you might be having Jet Lag and later on visit Asian Heritrage's office to get more insights about your trek and then you can stroll around the local streets of Thamel. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
After breakfast, our tour guide will come to receive you through the private vehicle at hotel and start your day tour from the Kathmandu Durbar Square which is listed in the UNESCO world heritage site explore the surroundings of durbar square area as you will be astounded to know about this place and by its archeology and then you will be heading towards Swyambhunath Temple- the monkey temple, one of the best place in Kathmandu which is equally impotant from the aspect of religion and culture and as well as tourism. Over here you can observe the religious tolerance between the hindu religion and Buddhist religion people. There's no restriction for the people to visit this temple and from here you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Kathmandu city along with the Himalaya ranges like Ganesh Himal, Jugal Himal and Langtang Himal and after that you can have your lunch on the way and head towards Pashupatinath Temple, one of the biggest pilgrimage in south east asia for the hindu religion following people, explore its surroundings and you can observe the body cremation ritual on the bank of holy Bagmati river as well. After completing your sight seen get back to hotel and have a rest. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 3: Flight from Kathmandu to Biratnagar (80m)
Flight duration: 40mins.
After breakfast, our office representative will come to receive you at the hotel and they will transfer you at the airport. It will take you almost 40 minutes to reach to Biratnagar. Upon arrival meet our office representative at airport and they will shift you to the hotel. Check in hotel and have a rest for a while. Later on you can stroll Biratnagar and its streets for a while. Overnight in Biratnagar.
Day 4: Drive to Taplejung (2420m)
Drive duration: 8/9 hours
Have your breakfast then you will leave Biratnagar for Taplejung. Today you will be travelling through the local bus all the way to the Taplejung. It will take you almost 8 to 9 hours to reach to Taplejung. Bus will stop on the way for a short break and for lunch so you can have your lunch at that time. It’s a long journey today so lay back and relax and if you like then you can interact with the people travelling in the bus as well. Upon arrival in Taplejung check in hotel and have sound rest. Overnight in local lodge in Taplejung.
Day 5: Trek to Chhirwa (1185m)
Hike duration: 6/7 hours
After breakfast, your trail from Taplejung descends until it reaches the Chhirwa. Today the path will be taking you mostly to the downhill through passing the pastures land and small villages on your way. Your trek guide will have you short break throughout your trek as today it’s a pretty long hike for you and you will be having lunch on the way as well. observe the hungdewa river and the raging tamur river as well and after some gradual up walk you will be descending down to the Sinwa village from their continue to Tawa and later on cross the suspension bridge at Thiwa, as you keep on walking you will realize the unfolding of the nature's vistas and after some gradual walk you reach to today's destination Chhirwa. Chhirwa is a small limbu village with some local lodge in, check in lodge and have sound rest as you might be tired of today's hike. Overnight in local lodge in Chhirwa.
Day 6: Trek to Sekathum (1650m)
Hike duration: 5/6 hours
After breakfast, you will start your trek through few forested ridges with the lush green vegetation, today your path will be taking you through the side of Tamur river until you arrive at the Olangchung Gola, for your kind information this is the entry point of the Kanchanjunga national park and from here you will be ascending up for a while and then again descend down before you cross the Ghunsa Khola, after a decend half an hour walk you will arrive at Sekathum for tonight stay. Overnight in local lodge in Sekathum
Day 7: Trek to Gyabla (2725m)
Hike duration: 8/9 hours
After breakfast, you will head towards Gyabla. Today is a pretty long and hard day for hiking, your route is long and bit tough. Have a decent walk and cross the river and start to ascend the steep and narrow trail and after crossing it you will descend all the way down to cross the river again and then you will be gradually walking up from the George bottom to pass by solima and slowly descend down to the river side. You need to hike carefully today as you will be walking through the George through the steep and narrow trail. Hike up for a while leaving the river side behind and pass through the dense bamboo, fir and rhodonderon forest and then you will pass through the small stone house by the side of a river and then have a gradual walk up through the small bridges. Soon you will get to see the stunning waterfalls on your way and after a short hike all the way up will takes you to your today's destination Gyabla. It is a small Tibetan settlement. Overnight in local lodge in Gyabla.
Day 8: Trek to Ghunsa (3415m)
Hiking duration: 6/7 hours
After breakfast, you will start your trek to Ghunsa, at first you will descend down to the river side and then you will have a gradual walk and soon the valley will slowly open up before you arrive at place called Phole, walk through the Phole for couple of hours and then you will reach to the famous Sherpa village where you can observe the hydro electric plant as well. Today you will be stayig here in Ghunsa as you need to acclimatize yourself too. Overnight in local lodge in Ghunsa.
Day 9: Rest day for acclimatization visit monastery around Ghunsa
Today is the rest day for you and it's very necessary to acclimatize yourself with the surroundings as well in order to keep fit on the trails that follow, have a short hike to Buddhist monastery and explore the surroundings, you can hike towards the Lapsan La through lush green forest and then get back to Ghunsa and have rest. Overnight in local lodge in Ghunsa.
Day 10: Trek to Khambachen (4145m)
Hiking duration: 5/6 hours
After breakfast, start your trek towards Khambachen, today you will trek towards the further north along the river side, after some gradual walk through the river side you will start to ascend up through the high land trees and vegetation, cross the bridge at Rampuk Kharka and continue your hike pass the waterfall and get ready to cross the narrow and steep section of the landslide area once you cross this section you will be welcomed by the views of Jannu and further walking for a while will takes you to the Khambachen, after reaching to Khambachen check in lodge and rest. Overnight in local lodge in Khambachen.
Day 11: Trek to Lhonak (4792m)
Hiking duration: 3/4 hours
After breakfast, head towards Lhonak. Today your trail will lead you through the rocky fields and the boulders on the hill side following the river bank, soon you will reach to another magnificent waterfall place, walk through the waterfall area and cross the bridge to Ramtang and soon you will get to see that the path is bit steep and narrow due to the landslide, walk through this trail carefully before finally reaching to the Lhonak. Overnight in local lodge in Lhonak.
Day 12: Hike to Kanchanjunga Base Camp and back to Lhonak
Hike duration: 7/8 hours
After breakfast, start your trek towards the Kanchanjunga Base Camp and this will be the highest elevation that you will reach on this trek. Kanchanjunga Base Camp lies at the elevation of 5140m above from sea level and today your trail will be leading you through the edge of the glaciers which is mostly gradual path on grassy trails, you need to be careful while walking on this trail as it is narrow and steep and some of the trail section are prone to landslide as well. After some decent walk you will reach to the Base Camp and find yourself surround by the beautiful snow clad peaks and mountains. From Base Camp you can see the Himalaya ranges of Mount Kanchanjunga, Nepal Peak, Dromo Peak, Kirat Chuli. Kangbachen. After completing your sight seen hike back to Lhonak. Overnight in local lodge in Lhonak.
Day 13: Trek to Ghunsa (3415m)
Hike duration: 4/5 hours
Have your breakfast and then start to head back to the earlier places that you had visited in this trek. You can retrace your foot prints and memories while getting back to Ghunsa. Today you will be descending down mostly with some ups and down. After hiking for almost 5 hours you will reach to the Ghunsa. Check in hotel and have rest and later in the evening you can explore the local village around. Overnight in local lodge in Ghunsa.
Day 14: Trek to Selele (4200m)
Hike duration: 4/5 hours
After breakfast, start your trek towards Selele. Your trail for today will be bit steep and you need to walk gradually up from Ghunsa to Selele, pass through the dense forest of moss, rhododendron and Juniper, if lucky you will be able to see the national bird of Nepal Danfe, Impedance Pheasant in the jungle. Upon walking through the forest you will have a short break for your lunch, have your lunch and start your hike again. After some decent walk you will reach to Selele. Check in lodge and have sound rest. Overnight in local lodge in Selele.
Day 15: Trek to Tseram (3868m) viaSinion La (4440m Miring-la (4480m) Sinlapche pass (4645m)
Hike duration: 6/7 hours
Have your breakfast. Today your hike will be a strenuous one as you need to cross over three passes. So walk slowly and drink enough water to hydrate your body throughout the walk. Firsly you will ascend through the hill and once you reach to the top enjoy the beautiful view of the Jannu Mountain and one by one slowly and gradually you will cross the Sinion La, the Mirgin La and the Sinelapche La while crossing these passes you will be accompanied by the Himalaya ranges on your east. Now have a descent walk through the steep trail and finally you will reach to Tseram. Check in lodge and have a good rest as you must be drained by todays hike. Overnight in local lodge in Tseram.
Day 16: Trek to Ramche (4610m)
Hike duration: 4 hours
After breakfast, you will leave the Tseram and head towards Ramche, today the trail will be a short one and it will be a decent walk up to the Ramche. On your way you can view the magnificent views as you keep on ascending to the south of the Yalung Glaciers and similarly you can observe the frozen lakes, streams, crystals. Keep on hiking for a while and finally you will reach to Ramche. Check in local lodge and have a rest and later on you can explore the surroundings. Overnight in local lodge in Ramche.
Day 17: Trek Visit to Oktang Temple, Glacier and back to Ramche (4740m)
Hike duration: 6/7 hours
After breakfast you will start your hike towards the Oktang temple, as you walk on the trail your route will amaze you with opening the beautiful vistas of the natural scenery of the Mount Kabru, Yalung Kang, Kanchanjunga, Kumbakarna and the picturesque. The climber's base camp for the north side of Kanchanjunga is another day across the glacier; So Oktang is the logical high point which can be reached without the climbing gear. Explore the temple area and enjoy the view from here and later on you will descend all the way down to Ramche. Overnight in local lodge in Ramche.
Day 18: Trek to Torongten (2980m)
Hike duration: 4 hours
After breakfast you will head towards Torongten, it will take you couple of hours to walk back down the valley to Tseram. From here you will continue walking down the valley beside the Simbuwa Khola to Torongten, today your path will take you through in between the jungle, providing you shade and making you feel cold and some of the sections of the trail close to the river bed. There are three tea houses in Torongten perched above the river and there are some nice terraces for camping as well after reaching to Torongten check in lodge and have a rest. Later on you can explore the Torongten surroundings. Overnight in local lodge in Torongten.
Day 19: Trek to Sherpa gaun (1792m)
Hike durations: 7/8 hours
After breakfast, you will be ascending up until you reach to the Lashetham which is at the elevation of 3646m from here you can view the beautiful hills picturesque along with the panoramic views of the Himalayas and fom here you will again start to descend down to your next destination Sherpa gaun. Today you can see and feel the huge difference in terms of altitude as from the elevation of 3646m you will be descending all the way down to 1792m to Sherpa gaun. The trail will takes you down through the rhododendron and fir forest as well until you reach to the Sherpa gaun, after reaching to the Sherpa gaun check in local lodge and have a sound rest as you might be tired due to today's walk. Ovenight in local lodge in Sherpa gaun.
Day 20: Trek to Phumpe dada (1860m)
Hike duration: 6/7 hours
After your breakfast you will start your hike towards Phumpe Dada, exploring lots of things on the way your trail will take you through the pasture land with lots of twist and turns on it. Enjoy the beautiful picturesque of the hills ranging far on your east. After some decent hiking you will reach to Phumpe Danda, check in lodge and have a sound rest. Overnight in local lodge in Phumpe Danda.
Day 21: Trek to Kadebhanjyang (2190m)
Hike duration: 6/7 hours
Have your breakfast in the morning and get ready to head towards Kadebhanjyang, it’s a pretty long day to hike today as today you will be ascending up mostly until you reach your today's destination. After some gradual walk up you will reach to the Phung phung Danda and then to Keshuwa and after crossing Keshuwa you will finally reach to the saddle of the ridge, Kande Bhanjyang. This trail will provide you the opportunity to explore the enrich culture, tradition and the life style of the native limbu people from here. Explore the untouched natural landscape from the Kande bhanjyang and it will be a treat for you to view the magnificent panoramic views of Kanchenjunga, Kumbhakarna Mountain and the Kabru ridge. Overnight in local lodge in Kande bhanjyang.
