The Langtang, Gosaikunda & Helambu trekking trail is one of the best trekking trails in the Langtang region. This trekking program combines the three popular trekking trails, the Langtang Valley, Gosaikunda, and Helambu valley. During the trek you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Langtang Lirung and other mountain ranges. The value of this trek is increased due to the presence of different types of wild fauna and flora and the Rhododendron, the National flower of Nepal and the trek guides you through famous Tamang villages. This trek combines different types of activities like strolling around the traditional villages, summiting the small peaks, crossing the glaciers, visiting the Hindu sacred Lake Gosaikunda along with some other lakes and pleasant walking in the wildlife. The trek starts in Kathmandu before driving to Syabrubesi, from where the trekking starts. the trek takes you through numerous villages like Lama Hotel, Langtang village, Kyanjin Gompa, Thulo Syabru, Shin Gomba, Gosainkunda, Gopte, Malemchigaon, Tarke Gyang, Samathang and MelamchiPuul Bazaar before heading back to Kathmandu.

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, our representative will meet, greet and welcome you and transfer you to your confirmed hotel. You can rest, relax and enjoy your time in the hotel or you can stroll around the city. Kathmandu has a lot to offer, including the Durbar Square (houses the old royal palace of the Kathmandu kingdom), Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple- swarming with monkeys), Pashupatinath (one of the most significant Hindu temples of Lord Shiva in the world) and the Boudhanath stupa (one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu). Overnight accommodation will be in a Hotel.
After having breakfast your drive starts from Kathmandu to Syabrubeshi. If the weather is clear, you can enjoy the mountain views and the rustic village lifestyles along the way. You will have your lunch at Trishuli bazaar and continue your drive to Syabrubesi. Overnight accommodation will be in a Local Lodge.
Today, your trekking starts with following the Langtang River through dense lush green forests of coniferous, oak and rhododendrons. You will encounter villages that are inhabited by Tibetans, Tamangs and Sherpas. On the way you will also cross several suspension bridges. You will reach Lama Hotel where you can rest and relax. Overnight accommodation will be in a Local Lodge.
From Lama Hotel, you will walk over a steep, vertical trail above the Langtang Khola. You can observe the beautiful view of Langtang Lirung, located at 7246 meter. The trail leads over a log bridge and while climbing further, we come across lush meadows of Ghora Tabela at 3000 m. The route opens up into a wide valley of yak pastures and scattered Tamang villages with water-driven mills and prayer wheels. Finally, after crossing a stream, you will reach Langtang village. Langtang village is the headquarters for Langtang National Park and has flat-roofed Tibetan style houses, hotels and cultivated lands yielding buckwheat, potatoes, wheat, turnips, barley and much more. Overnight accommodation will be in a Local Lodge.
After having breakfast, you will cross the yak pasture and the tiny village of stone-built houses, and climb to a Chorten. You will see the largest mani wall in Nepal, made from stone with prayers written on them. The prayers written on the mani wall are supposed to be blown away by the wind. On the way, you will cross wooden bridges several times. Today, you will walk for a short time to reach Kyanjin Gompa, so that you will get time to acclimatize and explore the surrounding. Kyajing Gompa is surrounded by the Himalayas all around. You can stroll around Kanjin Gompa enjoying the views, glaciers, icefalls, birds, and yaks. Overnight accommodation will be in a Local Lodge.
Today is your rest day in KyanjinGompa. There are two famous points in this area which reflect the beautiful views of the surroundings i.e. Kyanjin Ri (4800 m) and Tserko Ri (5000 m). You can visit Tserko Ri for a spectacular view of the langtang Lirung, Langtang range, Kinshung, Yansa Tsenji and the foot of the huge lirung Glacier. In the evening you can stroll around the Kyanjing valley. Overnight accommodation will be in a Local Lodge.
After having breakfast, you commence you trek with a walk all the way downhill, following the river. From the river you can see fantastic views of the towering mountains. You will walk through Tamang settlements that follow religious and cultural practices similar to the Tibetans. Overnight accommodation will be in a Local Lodge.
After having Breakfast, you will follow the trail which descends towards the river. You will cross the river and ascend towards Thulo Syabru. On the way, you will pass through pine and Juniper forests. You can see a great view of Langtang Himal and more as you arrive in Thulo Syabru. Overnight accommodation will be in a Local Lodge
Today, you will start your day climbing up to Dimsa village. From Dimsa village you will continue walking through rhododendron, hemlock and Oak forests to Shin gomba. Shin gomba is popular for its cheese production. From the trail, you can see fantastic views of Langtang Himal and Langtang valley. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
You will have your breakfast in Shin gomba and start walking upwards. The trail ascends smoothly through rhododendron forests to the top of the rim. The area in-between Shin gomba and Laurebinayak is the place of the red panda, an endangered species among Nepalese fauna. After, you will climb a wider route through the alpine country to reach Gosainkunda. You can utilize the remaining time to explore the Lake. Overnight accommodation will be in a Local Lodge.
Today you have to go through a challenging trail, you will climb the rough route and cross moraines. Passing three small lakes, the trail leads upwards and crosses Laurebina La (4,609 m). Later on, the path leads down to Phedi and you continue walking up and down crossing a rocky hill with pine and rhododendron trees to reach Gopte. Overnight accommodation will be in a Local Lodge.
After having Breakfast, you will trek down through a forested area and climb through a dry river-bed to reach Kharka. Kharka is the place which is covered by rhododendron forests. You will climb through the forest to arrive at the village of Tharepati, from where you can have a marvelous view of the Jugal area. You will continue walking and cross the village before entering a forested area. Along the trail in the forest, you will descend down to Melamchi River. From the river bank, you will climb for a short period to reach Malemchigaon. Overnight accommodation will be in a Local Lodge.
Today, after having breakfast, you will head towards Tarke Gyang; a village in the Helambu Region, which is home to the Sherpa culture and Traditions. Here, you can enjoy en experience the Sherpa culture with traditional village and monasteries. There is a cluster settlement of Sherpa communities. The houses are made form locally found stones with narrow alleyways separating them. Overnight accommodation will be in a Local Lodge.
Ama Yang Ri, also considered as a hidden gem in Helambu, is a side trek which is optional. It is worth to visit the Yang Ri Peak, locally known as Ama Jyomo Yangri, and is believed to be Holy Mountain. In ancient times, it is believed that many Buddhist deities meditated inside the cave. Also, many ancient monasteries and sacred caves are found here.
Overnight in local lodge.
From TarkeGyang, you will cross a small forest with the view of the beautiful village of the Helambu region. The trail goes through the middle of Parachin and the beautiful Sherpa village of Gangyul. The people of this village follow the Drukpa Kagyu Buddhism, the national religion of Bhutan. Overnight accommodation will be in a Local Lodge.
Today is your last day of trekking. You will have a short walk down to MalemchiPuul Bazaar which leads through some Sherpa villages. From Melamchi Bazaar, you will drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight accommodation will be in a Hotel.
Today is the last day of your Nepal program. After having breakfast, you will pack your luggage, get fresh and check out from the hotel. You will be transferred to the International airport to catch the flight for your onward destination.
