Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu trekking trail is one of the best trekking trails in Langtang region. This trekking Program combines the three popular trekking trails that are Langtang Valley, Gosaikunda and Helambu valley. This trekking region is located in the north side of Kathmandu valley and is in about 80 KM distance.  Here you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Langtang Lirung and other mountain ranges. The value of this trekking is increased due to the presence of different types of wild faunas and floras and the Rhododendron, National flower of Nepal. The trek passes through the famous Tamang villages. This trek is the combination of different types of activities like strolling around the traditional villages, summiting the small peaks, crossing the glaciers, visiting the Hindu sacred Lake Gosaikunda along with some other lakes and pleasant walking in the wildlife. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu - 1,400m.

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu airport, our representative will meet, greet and welcome you and transfer you to your confirmed hotel. You can rest relax and enjoy your time in the hotel or you can stroll around the city. Overnight Hotel.


Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu.

After Breakfast, the guided full day sightseeing starts around Kathmandu. Here you can feast your eyes on the rich and colorful history of the country. The tour includes Kathmandu Durbar Square- houses the old royal palace of the Kathmandu kingdom, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple- swarming with monkeys), Pashupatinath- one of the most significant Hindu temple of Lord Shiva in the world, Boudha Stupa - one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu. You will be able to observe the country in its original status. From the top of the SwayambhuNath Temple to the fluttering of colorful prayer flags at Boudha Stupa, you will be able to feel the way of life of the people living in Kathmandu Valley. Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi 1,550m, 145 km/ 7 hrs.

After having breakfast your drive starts from Kathmandu to Syabru Beshi. If the weather is clear, you can enjoy the mountain views and the rustic village lifestyles along the way. You will have your lunch at Trishuli bazaar and continue your drive to Syabrubesi. Overnight Local Lodge.


Day 04: Trek to Lama Hotel 2,380m, 6-7 hrs.

From today your trekking starts following the Langtang River through the dense lush green forests of coniferous, oak and rhododendrons and the villages that are inhabited by Tibetans, Tamangs and Sherpas. On the way you will also cross several suspension bridges. You will reach Lama Hotel and can rest and relax. Overnight Local Lodge.


Day 05: Lama Hotel- Langtang 3,430m, 7- 8 hours.

From Lama Hotel, you will walk through the steep vertical trail above the Langtang Khola. You can have the beautiful view of Langtang Lirung lying at 7246 meter. The trail leads through a log bridge and on climbing further we come across lush meadows of Ghora Tabela at 3000m. The route opens up into a wide valley of yak pastures and scattered Tamang villages with water-driven mills and prayer wheels. Finally after crossing a stream, you will reach Langtang village. Langtang village is the headquarters for Langtang National Park and has flat-roofed Tibetan style houses, hotels and cultivated lands yielding buckwheat, potatoes, wheat, turnips, barley etc. Overnight Local Lodge.


Day 06: Langtang - Kyanjin Gompa, 3,870m: 3-4 hours.

After having breakfast, you will cross the yak pasture. Tiny village, stone-built houses and climb to a Chorten. You will also see largest mani wall in Nepal, made from stone with prayers written on them. The prayers written on the mani wall is supposed to be blown away by the wind. On the way, you will cross the wooden bridge several times. Today, you will walk for a short time to reach Kyanjin Gompa, so that you will get time to acclimatize and explore the surrounding. Kyajing Gompa is surrounded by the Himalayas all around. You can also stroll around Kanjin Gompa enjoying the views, glaciers, icefalls, birds and yaks. Overnight Local Lodge.


Day 07: Kyanjin Gompa: explore day.

Today is your rest day in Kyanjin Gompa. Here are 2 famous points in this area which reflects the beautiful views of the surroundings i.e. Kyanjin Ri (4,800m/15,748ft) and Tserko Ri (5,000m/16,404ft). After that visit Tserko Ri (5000m) for spectacular view of the langtang Lirung, Langtang range, Kinshung, Yansa Tsenji and the foot of the huge lirung Glacier. In the evening you can stroll around the Kyanjing valley. Overnight Local Lodge.


Day 08: Kyanjin Gompa- Lama Hotel, 2,470m; 6-7 hours.

After having breakfast, you will walk all the way downhill following the river, from where you will see fantastic views of towering mountain. You will walk through Tamang settlements that follow religious and cultural practices similar to the Tibetans. Overnight Local Lodge.

Day 09: Lama Hotel - Thulo Syabru, 2,230m: 7-8 hours.

After having Breakfast, you will follow the trail which descends towards the river. You will cross the river and ascend towards Thulo Syabru. On the way, you will pass through pine and Juniper forests. You can see great view of Langtang Himal and more as you arrive Thulo Syabru. Overnight Local Lodge.

Day 10: Thulo Syabru- Shin gomba, 3,330m: 6-7 hours.

Today, you will start your day climbing up to Dimsa village. From Dumsa village you will continue walking through rhododendron, hemlock and Oak forests to Shin gomba. Shin gomba is popular for Cheese production. From the way, you can see fantastic views of Langtang Himal and langtang valley..


Day 11: Shin gomba- Gosainkunda, 4,460m : 6-7 hours.

You will take your breakfast in Shin gomba and start walking upwards. The trail ascends smoothly through rhododendron forest to the top of the rim. The area in-between Shin gomba and Laurebinayak is the place of the red panda, an endangered species among Nepalese fauna. Now you will climb a wider route through alpine country to reach Gosainkunda. You can utilize the remaining time to explore around the Lake. Overnight Local Lodge.


Day 12: Gosainkunda- Gopte, 3,440m: 8-9 hours.

Today you have to go through a bit challenging trail; you will climb through rough route and also cross moraines. Passing through three small lakes, the trail leads upward and cross Laurebina La (4,609m/15,121ft). Now, the path leads down to phedi and you continue walking up and down crossing a rocky hill with pine, rhododendron trees to reach Gopte. Overnight Local Lodge.


Day 13: Gopte- Malemchigaon, 2,560m: 6-7 hours.

After having Breakfast, you will trek down through a forested area and climb through a dry river-bed to reach Kharka. Kharka is the place which is covered by rhododendron forest. Now you will climb through the forest to arrive at the village of Thare Pati from where you can see the marvelous view of Jugal area. You will continue walking and cross the village and enter a forested area. Along the way of forest you will descend down to Melamchi River. From the river bank you will climb for a short period to reach Malemchigaon. Overnight Local Lodge.


Day 14: Malemchigaon - Tarke Gyang, 2,590m: 6-7 hours.

Today, after having breakfast, you will head towards Tarke Gyang; a village of Helambu Region, which is the destination of Sherpa culture and Traditions. Here, you can enjoy with Sherpa culture with traditional village and monasteries. There is the cluster settlement of Sherpa communities. The houses are made of locally found stones with narrow alleyways separating them. Overnight Local Lodge.


Day 15: Tarke Gyang- Sermathang, 2,610m: 5-6 hours.

From Tarke Gyang, you will cross small forest with the view of beautiful village of Helembu region. The trail goes through middle of Parachin and the beautiful Sherpa village of Gangyul. The people of this village follow the Drukpa Kagyu Buddhism, the national religion of Bhutan. Overnight Local Lodge.


Day 16: Sermathang- Melamchi Puul Bazaar -Kathmandu: 4-5 hours; 4 hour bus

Today is your last day of trekking. You will have a short walk down to Malemchi Puul Bazaar through some Sherpa villages. From Melamchi Bazaar, you will drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight Hotel.


Day 17: Final Departure.

Finally, today is the last day of your Nepal program. After having breakfast, you will pack your luggage, get fresh and check out from the hotel. You will be transferred to the International airport to catch the flight for your onward destination.
