By this trek you will understand the history of the Tibetan ancestry and their way of living, agriculture and trade. This trail is newly developed leaving the tradition virtually untouched. Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu airport, our representative will meet and welcome you and they will transfer you to your confirmed hotel. You can have a rest as you might be having Jet Lag and later on you can enjoy your time in the hotel or you can stroll around the Thamel and to its nearby places. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
After breakfast, our vehicle will come to pick you for your whole day guided sightseeing tour which starts around Kathmandu. Here you can feast your eyes on the rich and colorful history of the country. The tour includes Kathmandu Durbar Square- houses the old royal palace of the Kathmandu kingdom, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple- swarming with monkeys), Pashupatinath- one of the most significant Hindu temple of Lord Shiva in the world, Boudha Stupa - one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu. You will be able to observe the country in its original status. From the top of the SwayambhuNath Temple to the fluttering of colorful prayer flags at Boudha Stupa, you will be able to feel the way of life of the people living in Kathmandu Valley. Day 3: Drive to Syabru Besi (1550m)
Drive duration: 7 hours
After having breakfast your drive will starts from Kathmandu to Syabru Beshi, which wll take you almost 7 hours and if the weather is clear, you can enjoy the mountain views and the rustic village lifestyles and the terrace farming along the way. You will have your lunch at Trishuli bazaar and continue your drive to Syabrubesi. After reaching to Syabru Besu check in lodge and have a rest. Overnight in local lodge.
Day 4: Trek to Lama Hotel (2380m)
Hike duration: 6/7 hours
Have your breakfast and get ready to start your trek and from today your trekking starts following the Langtang River through the dense lush green forests of coniferous, oak and rhododendrons and the villages that are inhabited by Tibetans, Tamangs and Sherpas. On the way you will also cross several suspension bridges. Simply you will love the hike today until you reach to Lama Hotel and after reaching over here you can have sound rest. Overnight in local lodge.
Day 5: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3430m)
Hike duration: 7/ 8 hours
After your breakfast you will leave Lama hotel behind you and you will start to walk through the steep vertical trail above the Langtang Khola. From here you can have the beautiful view of Langtang Lirung lying at 7246 meter. The trail leads through a log bridge and on climbing further we come across lush meadows of Ghora Tabela at 3000m. The route opens up into a wide valley of yak pastures and scattered Tamang villages with water-driven mills and prayer wheels. Finally after crossing a stream, you will reach Langtang village. Langtang village is the headquarters for Langtang National Park and has flat-roofed Tibetan style houses, hotels and cultivated lands yielding buckwheat, potatoes, wheat, turnips, barley etc. After reaching to Langtang village check in hotel and have a rest. Overnight in local lodge.
Day 6: Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa (3870m)
Hike duration: 3/4 hours
After having breakfast, start your hike towards Kyanjin Gomp. First you will cross the yak pasture. Tiny village, stone-built houses and climb to a Chorten. You will also see largest mani wall in Nepal, made from stone with prayers written on them. The prayers written on the mani wall is supposed to be blown away by the wind. On the way, you will cross the wooden bridge several times. Today, you will walk for a short time to reach Kyanjin Gompa, so that you will get time to acclimatize and explore the surrounding. Kyajing Gompa is surrounded by the Himalayas all around. You can also stroll around Kanjin Gompa enjoying the views, glaciers, icefalls, birds and yaks. Overnight in local lodge.
Day 7: Exploration day in Kyanjin Gompa
Today is your rest day in Kyanjin Gompa. Here are two famous points in this area which reflects the beautiful views of the surroundings; they are Kyanjin Ri (4800m) and Tserko Ri (5000m). After that visit Tserko Ri (5000m) for spectacular view of the langtang Lirung, Langtang range, Kinshung, Yansa Tsenji and the foot of the huge lirung Glacier, the spectacular views from this place will simply awestruck you and after completing your sight seen descend down and in the evening you can stroll around the Kyanjing valley. Overnight in local lodge.
Day 8: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2470m)
Hike duration: 6/7 hours
After having breakfast, you will walk all the way downhill following the river, from where you will see fantastic views of the towering mountain savor the picturesque at its best then you will walk through Tamang settlements that follow religious and cultural practices similar to the Tibetans. Explore the village and the native people from aroubd here and you will be astounded to get to know about the people and the simplicity in their lives. After that get back to your lodge and have rest. Overnight in local lodge.
Day 9: Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2230m)
Hike duration: 7/8 hours
After having breakfast, start your hike towards your next destination, Thulo Syabru. You will follow the trail which descends towards the river then you will cross the river and will start to ascend towards Thulo Syabru. On the way, you will pass through pine and Juniper forests, while walking through the forest you may get to observe the wild flora and fauna along with some birds and rhesus monkey and through the way you can see great view of Langtang Himal and more as you arrive towards Thulo Syabru. Overnight in local lodge.
Day 10: Thulo Syabru to Shin Gomba (3330m)
Hike duration: 6/7 hours
Today, you will start your day climbing up to Dimsa village. From Dimsa village you will continue walking through the lush green forest of rhododendron, hemlock and Oak forests to Shin Gomba, it’s pleasant to walk from the forest as you will get to see lots of wild flora and fauna on the way and after some gradual walk you will reach to Shin Gomba which is popular for Cheese production, you can enjoy he local Nepalese cheese over here. From the way, you can see fantastic views of Langtang Himal and picturesque of langtang valley. After reaching to Shin Gomba check in lodge and have a rest. Overnight in Shin Gomba.
Day 11: Shin gomba to Gosainkunda (4460m)
Hike duration: 6/7 hours
Have your breakfast in Shin Gomba and start ascending upwards. The trail ascends smoothly through rhododendron forest to the top of the rim. The area in-between Shin gomba and Laurebinayak is the place of the red panda, an endangered species among Nepalese fauna. If its your lucky day then you will be able to see the red Panda and the national bird of Nepal - Impean Pheasant. Now you will climb a wider route through alpine country to reach Gosainkunda. You can utilize the remaining time to explore around the Lake. Overnight in local lodge.
Day 12: Gosainkunda to Gopte (3440m)
Hike duration: 8/9 hours
Have your breakfast in the morning and stat your walk towards Gopte. Today you have to go through a bit challenging trail; you will climb through rough route and also cross moraines. Passing through three small lakes, the trail leads upward and cross Laurebina La (4,609m). Now, the path leads down to phedi and you continue walking up and down crossing a rocky hill and ridges with pine, rhododendron trees to reach Gopte. After reaching to Gopte check in lodge and have a sound rest. Overnight in local lodge.
Day 13: Gopte to Malemchigaon (2560m)
Hike duration: 6/7 hours
After having breakfast, you will trek down through a forested area and climb through a dry river-bed to reach Kharka. Kharka is the place which is covered by rhododendron forest. Now you will climb through the forest to arrive at the village of Thare Pati from where you can see the marvelous view of Jugal area. You will continue walking and cross the village and enter a forested area. Along the way of forest you will descend down to Melamchi River. From the river bank you will climb for a short period to reach Malemchigaon. Overnight Local Lodge.
Day 14: Malemchigaon to Tarke Gyang (2590m)
Hike duration: 6/7 hours
After having breakfast, you will head towards Tarke Gyang; a village of Helambu Region, which is the destination of Sherpa culture and Traditions. Here, you can enjoy with Sherpa culture with traditional village and monasteries. There is the cluster settlement of Sherpa communities. The houses are made of locally found stones with narrow alleyways separating them. On the way you will be accompanied by the beautiful view of the Langtang ranges and the panoramic picturesque of the hills ranging on east and after some decent walk you will reach to Tarke Gyang. Check in hotel and have rest. Overnight in local lodge.
Day 15: Tarke Gyang to Sermathang (2610m)
Hike duration: 5/6 hours
Have your breakfast in the morning and start your hike towards Semathang. From Tarke Gyang, you will cross small forest with the view of beautiful village of Helambu region. The trail goes through middle of Parachin and the beautiful Sherpa village of Gangyul. The people of this village follow the Drukpa Kagyu Buddhism, the national religion of Bhutan. After observing the beautiful village continues your hike towards your today's destination and after reaching to Sermathhang check in lodge and have a rest. Overnight in local lodge.
Day 16: Sermathang to Melamchi Bazaar to Kathmandu
Hike duration: 4/5 hours, Drive duration: 4 hour
Enjoy your breakfast in the morning. As today is your last day of trekking, you will have a short walk down to Malemchi bridge and over here you can notice the small local market and after walking through and passing the Melamchi market you can see some small Sherpa villages on the way and from Melamchi Bazaar, you will drive back to Kathmandu. After reaching to Kathmandu, check in hotel and have rest. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 17: Departure
Finally, today is the last day of your Nepal program. After having breakfast, you will pack your luggage, get fresh and check out from the hotel along with our office representative. They will come to pick you up and will transfer you to the airport to catch the flight for your onward destination according to your flight time. Have a safe journey onwards.
