Day 1: Drive Pokhara to Kande and Trek to Pothana (2006m)

Drive duration: 1 hour, Hike duration:  4/5 hours

After having Breakfast in the hotel, you will be picked up from your hotel and your trekking program to Mardi Himal begins. You will enjoy a short drive to Kande through the countryside environment of Nepal. Kande is on the hilltop village located near to the touristic city Pokhara. From Kande, you can see the beautiful view of the Himalayas in a clear weather. Now, you will start walking to reach today's destination, Pothana. You will be walking through the beautiful villages. In the suitable route, you will stop for lunch and continue walking to reach Pothana. Once you reach Pothana, Check-in to the lodge. Overnight in local lodge.

 

Day 2: Pothana to Forest Camp (2600m)

Hike duration: 5/6 hours

You will walk through the forest of red sandalwoods and rhododendrons and some pasture lands. Today, you have to walk through some flat land which is followed by gentle climb up and descend down as a commencement of Mardi Himal Trek. On the way, you also have to walk some hours of the day through the dense forest. If the weather is clear, you will see the panoramic view of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu and some other ranges. Overnight in local lodge.

 

Day 3: Trek to Low Camp (2950m)

Hike duration: 3/4 hours

Today, the trail gradually climbs through the rhododendron forest following the ridge. You can enjoy much closer view of Mt Fishtail and Mardi Himal. You find yourself closer to clear blue sky with view of layers of Himalayan foothills and sweeping valley towards south. There are couples of Local Lodges in the Low camp for overnight stay. Overnight in local lodge.

 

Day 4: Short walk to High Camp (3550m)

Hike duration: 3/4 hours

The trail further climbs along the ridge towards Mardi Himal and Mt Fishtail. Now, you will leave the tree line and arrive in shrubby alpine zone. Snowcapped peaks of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Fishtail looms in a distance above deep valley on the either side. High camp is a small pasture after the climb. Here you find yourself above the clouds and closer to snowcapped peaks. Overnight in local lodge.

 

Day 5: Explore Mardi Himal Base Camp (4500m)

Hike duration: 6/7 hours

Today, The trekking is more difficult than other days with steep climb and longer walk. Trail becomes more vertical at some points with uneven and steep rocky steps. The first steep climb will take about 2 hrs to the ridge top which is marked as MBC (Mardi Himal Base Camp). However the real base camp will take about another 2 hrs along the ridge. The view is amazing all along the ridge. While Mardi Himal and Mt Fishtail appear right above you, view of Annapurna I, Gangapurna and Annapurna III also appears at a distance. Overnight in local lodge.

 

Day 6: Trek Back to Forest Camp (2600m)

Hiking duration: 3/4 hours

Today, you will return down to Forest Camp. Even though the scenery is stationary, season and sunlight makes it different and interesting. You will spend some time in the Base camp and enjoy watching the change that the sunray brings to the place and surrounding areas. You will commence walking down to forest camp after having breakfast. You will reach to forest camp during the lunch time. You can spend your time in rest and exploring around the surrounding areas of Forest Camp. Overnight in local lodge.

 

Day 7: Walk down to Lwang Village and drive back to Pokhara (827m)

Hike duration: 4 hours, Drive duration: 1.5 hours

You will have your breakfast and commence climbing down steeply through rhododendron and Maple forest to the permanent settlements closer to valley basin to Lwang village. Lwang is a Gurung and Ghale village with rich culture and happy people. The village is the best place to watch Nepalese countryside lifestyle and enjoy the organic food. The village farmers also grow organic tea in their meadow. The waterfall in the outskirt of the village offers one of the most exciting cannoning adventures. You will enjoy the Organic lunch served by the local people in Lwang village. After lunch you will rest for some time and walk down to the Mardi River basin. Here, you will catch the vehicle and drive back to Pokhara. Check-in to the Hotel. Overnight in Pokhara.
