Mardi Himal trekking, a destination located in the famous Annapurna region, is positioned at the base of the Mardi Himal and Fishtail mountain. The path goes along small winding paths, through dense rhododendron forests until you climb out of the forest at an elevation of around 3,300 meters. The landscape changes quite abruptly into a rugged high mountain landscape, with amazing views of Mardi Himal, Machapuchre, Annapurna South and Dhaulagiri.

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and your trekking program to Mardi Himal begins. You will enjoy a short drive to Kande through the countryside environment of Nepal. Kande is on the hilltop village located near to the touristic city, Pokhara. From Kande, you can see the beautiful view of the Himalayas in a clear weather. Now, you will start walking to reach today's destination, Pothana. You will be walking through the beautiful villages. Once you reach Pothana, check-in to the lodge. Overnight in local lodge.
You will walk through the forest of red sandalwoods and rhododendrons and some pasture lands. Today, you have to walk through some flat land which is followed by a gentle climb up and descend down as a commencement of Mardi Himal Trek. On the way, you also have to walk through the dense forest. If the weather is clear, you will see the panoramic view of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu and some other ranges. Overnight in local lodge.
Today, the trail gradually climbs through the rhododendron forest following the ridge. You can enjoy a much closer view of Mt Fishtail and Mardi Himal. You find yourself closer to clear blue sky with a view of layers of Himalayan foothills and sweeping valley towards the south. There are couples of local lodges in the Low camp for overnight stay. Overnight in local lodge.
The trail further climbs along the ridge towards Mardi Himal and Mt Fishtail. Now, you will leave the tree line and arrive in the shrubby alpine zone. Snowcapped peaks of Annapurna South, Huinchuli and Fishtail loom in a distance above the deep valley on either side. High camp is a small pasture after the climb. Here, you find yourself above the clouds and closer to snowcapped peaks. Overnight in local lodge.
Today, the trekking is more difficult than other days with a steep climb and long walk. The trail becomes more vertical at some points with uneven and steep rocky steps. The first steep climb will take about 2 hrs to the ridge top which is marked as MBC (Mardi Himal Base Camp). However, the real base camp will take about another 2 hrs along the ridge. The view is amazing all along the ridge. While Mardi Himal and Mt Fishtail appear right above you, view of Annapurna I, Gangapurna and Annapurna III also appears at a distance. Overnight in local lodge.
Today, you will return down to Forest Camp. Even though the scenery is stationary, season and sunlight make it different and interesting. You will spend some time in the Basecamp and enjoy watching the change that the sunrays bring to the place and surrounding areas. You will commence walking down to forest camp after having breakfast. On reaching forest camp, you can spend your time resting or explore the surrounding areas of Forest Camp. Overnight in local lodge.
You will have your breakfast and commence climbing down steeply through rhododendron and Maple forest to the permanent settlements closer to valley basin to Lwang village. Lwang is a Gurung and Ghale village with rich culture and happy people. The village is the best place to watch Nepalese countryside lifestyle and enjoy the organic food. The village farmers also grow organic tea in their meadow. The waterfall in the outskirt of the village offers one of the most exciting canyoning adventures. You will enjoy the Organic lunch served by the local people in Lwang village. After lunch, you will rest for some time and walk down to the Mardi River basin. Here, you will catch the vehicle and drive back to Pokhara. Check-in to the Hotel.
