Nar Phu Valley trekking is one of the untouched and silent trekking trails in the north of Annapurna region where you have the excellent view of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, Lamjung Himal, Tilicho Peak etc. The trekking begins from Besisahar and takes you through Dharapani, Dharamsala, kayang. One can experience the remote villages, narrow canyons, lovely forests, amazing rock formations, yaks, old Buddhist monasteries, unique Himalayan cultures etc during the trek. Nar Phu Valley is located in the remote area in between the famous Damodar Kunda and Annapurna region where the people of various ethnic groups such as Gurung, Magar, Manangi, Bhotes  live and follows Tibetan Buddhism from the centuries. Explore the Tibetan village still in the typical old form and yet to be touched by the outer world.

    Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)

    Upon your arrival in the Kathmandu airport, our representative will meet, greet and welcome you and transfer you to your confirmed hotel. After reaching to hotel you can have rest as you might be having Jet Lag. Later on you can stroll around the local streets of Thamel and to its nearby places. Overnight in Kathmandu.


    Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu

    After Breakfast, our vehicle along with your guide will come to pick you up in the hotel and your full day guided sightseeing tour will starts around Kathmandu. Here you can feast your eyes on the rich and colorful history of the country. The tour includes the UNESCO world heritage sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square- houses the old royal palace of the Kathmandu kingdom, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple- swarming with monkeys), Pashupatinath- one of the most significant Hindu temple of Lord Shiva in the world, Boudha Stupa- one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu. You will be able to observe the country in its original status. From the top of the SwayambhuNath Temple to the fluttering of colorful prayer flags at Boudha Stupa, you will be able to feel the way of life of the people living in Kathmandu Valley. Overnight in Kathmandu.


    Day 3: Drive Kathmandu to Syange/ Jagat (1100m)

    Drive duration: 8/9 hours

    After having breakfast wait for our vehicle to arrive in hotel then you will start your day with a drive to Besisahar through Prithvi High way. On the way enjoy the picturesque view of countryside with the lush green forest and the trsihuli river on your right side. It will take you around 8 to 9 hours to reach to Besisahar and from Besisahar, you will take a local jeep to Syange. You can see the beautiful view of River, Greeneries, Local villages and Beautiful mountain scenery. From Syange, you will walk for short period to reach Jagat. Overnight in local lodge.


    Day 4: Jagat to Dharapani (1960m)

    Hike duration: 7/8 hours

    Have your breakfast and get ready to head towards your next destination Dharapani, you will start walking through jungle. The trail goes through the bank of Marshyangdi River and you will start ascending to reach Tal; from here you will enter into Manang district. First, the trail continues through barley, rice and potato fields and then after, pine forests. You will also walk through the village of Kodo which leads you to Dharapani, which is one of the big villages in the Manang valley. After reaching to Dharapani check in lodge and have rest. Later on you can explore the surroundings. Overnight in local lodge.


    Day 5: Dharapani to Koto (2670m)

    Hike duration: 5/6 hours

    Have your breakfast in the morning and head towards Koto. You will walk through the mule track in between the Fir, higher Oak and Maple forest and then follow the river bank for some time. Along the way, you will have spectacular views of Himalayan peaks and ranges of Mount Manaslu and Peak 29. Your trail will takes you through the Pine forest until you reach to the Latamarang, have a rest for a while and then continue your hike through the forest until you reach to Koto. Overnight in local lodge.


    Day 6: Koto to Dharmasala (3210m)

    Hike duration: 6 hours

    After breakfast you will start Narphu valley trekking from Koto, you will walk through a steep and narrow path through the dense forest and then after descending down to the base you will be crossing the river through the suspension bridge and then you will follow the trail which leads to entrance to the Narphu valley. From Nar Phu valley, you will continue walking through the beautiful pine forest until you reach to Dharmasala. Once you reach to Dharmasala check in lodge and have rest. Overnight in local lodge.


    Day 7: Dharmasala to Kayang (3560m)

    Hike duration: 6/7 hours

    After your breakfast get ready to head towards your today's destination- Kayang. At first you will be having a gradual walk then you will climb up the valley along the small river- Soti khola, and then walk through the beautiful pine forest before arriving Meta. Now, the trail passes through white rocks, low shrubs, junipers, scattered evergreen forest. From your path you can have the best Mountain view on the way and as you pass Junam, after some decent walk you will reach to Kayang. After reaching here you will see the ruined vestige of the Khampa settlement- the refugees from Tibet once captured and lived over here and once you reach to Kayang check in lodge and have rest. Overnight in local lodge.


    Day 8: Kayang to Phu village (4200m)

    Hike duration: 4/5 hours

    After having breakfast, you will walk steeply downhill along the river bank passing through the submarine rock. Mostly the path section will be rocky and made through the boulder and after a gradual walk you can see the best view of Chorten with canyon lands and gorges on the way to Phu gate from where you can see the picturesque of three villages of Phu. Hike for some time and finally you will reach to the Phu village. Overnight in local lodge.


    Day 9: Acclimatization day at Phu valley

    Today is your acclimatization day in Phu Village. You can stroll around the surrounding and. It is better to acclimatize on the environment than just resting in high altitude. You are in the  hidden valley of the  Annapurna region so explore the surroundings today as you can get the insights on Lama, Ghale and Gurung cultures and life style, apart from that you can explore the one of the oldest Buddhist monastery in this place as well and enjoy the magnifying vistas of Himlung Himal and the other snow cald mountains from Phu valley. Overnight in local lodge.


    Day 10: Phu village to Nar (4150m)

    Hike duration: 6/7 hours

    After having breakfast, you will trek back to Phu gate Khyang, Chyarkha and Jhunam and continue your way to Nar village. Along the way you will see some beautiful gorges and water fall along with the breathtaking sceneries. Today you will also cross the suspension bridge which is around 80m long over the George of Lapche River then you will pass through wonderfully painted, bamboo topped Chortens and many Buddhist monasteries accompanied by the mighty Pisang Peak and after having some gradual walk you will finally reach to the Nar gate on the top of the hill. After reaching to Nar, check in lodge and have a sound rest. Overnight in local lodge.


    Day 11: Nar to Kang La Phedi (4500m)

    Hike duration: 2/3 hours

    Have your breakfast and you will leave Nar and will head towards Kang La Phedi. Today, your trekking is easy and short so you can explore the Nar Village in the morning and after that trek to Kangla phedi. The trail goes through the grazing field with a small stream on the left. There are mountains on the both sides of the stream. On the left you can see the breathtaking view of Pisang peak and the other snow clad mountains, after hiking for some time you will reach to Kang La Phedi, check in lodge and rest for a while and later on you can explore the surroundings and the nearby places. Overnight in local lodge.


    Day 12: Kang La Phedi to Kang La pass (5315m) and then trek to Ngawal (3675m)

    Hike duration: 10/11 hours

    Have your breakfast in the morning, today is a pretty long day for hike but you will be rewarded with the beautiful picturesque landscape and the wonderful views of the snow clad mountain on the way, you will walk up to Kang La Pass from Phedi in the morning to see the magnificent view of Pisang peak, Annapurna II, Gangapurna, Tilicho peak, and the airport at Hongde. Have a gradual walk until you cross the Kang La Pass then you will head to Ngwal; a wonderful old village of cobbled streets, prayer wheels and beautiful architecture. After reaching to Ngawal check in lodge and have rest. Overnight in local lodge.


    Day 13: Ngawal to Manang (3570m)

    Hike duration: 3/4 hours

    Have your breakfast in the morning and today you will head towards Manang from Ngawal. You will walk thought flat trails along the bank of Marshyangdi River. On the way you will pass through pine forest, farming terrace and beautiful village of Braga. You can also visit Braga monastery and explore the surroundings, from Braga you will see the closer view of Tilicho Peak and the magnificent Annapurna Ranges. Hike for some time and finally you will reach to Manang. After reaching to Manang check in lodge and rest for a while and later on you can explore the surroundings of Manang Overnight Local Lodge.


    Day 14: Manang to Letdar (4250m)

    Hike duration:4/5 hours

    After breakfast you will be heading towards Letdar today, it’s a easy hike today to get used to the altitude before we have to cross the highest point in the trek, You will walk on the trail which passes through alpine pastures to scrubby forests of juniper and rose and then pass some few meadows where horses and yaks grazes. You must ascend up to Tenki leaving the Marshyangdi River. From Tenki, you will walk upwards continuously to Letdar. On the way you can see the herds of blue sheep grazing on the steep slopes. After reaching to Letdar check in lodge and rest for a while and you can explore the surroundings. Overnight in local lodge.


    Day 15: Letdar to Thorang Phedi (4420m)

    Hike duration: 3/4 hours

    After your breakfast, you will start your hike towards Thorang Phedi from Letdar, you will commence trekking and climb along the bank of the Jorsang Khola. Again today is another relatively a easy day to adapt yourself to the surroundings You might see the herds of blue mountain sheep on some parts of the trail. Your trail will takes you through the east bank of the Jarang Khola to Thorang Phedi, a rock - strewn meadow surrounded by vertical cliffs. If your luck favors you then you can see the snow leopard in this area as well. Finally after some gradual walk you will reach to Phedi. Check in lodge and have rest. Overnight in local lodge.


    Day 16: Phedi to Muktinath (3800m)

    Hike duration: 10/11 hours

    After your breakfast you are going to visit the sacred pilgrimage site of Hindu and Buddhists- Muktinath. You must walk through the steep trail; switch backing up moraines and following rocky ridges as it ascends to the pass. You can see the outstanding views of Gangapurna, Annapurna, Thorong peak, Khatung Kang peak. Now, the trail descends steeply down to Muktinath. Muktinath is also the habitat for many ethnics Tibetans and holy Buddhists. You can visit the surroundings of the Muktinath temple and you can enjoy in the local environment. Overnight in local lodge.


    Day 17: Muktinath to Jomsom (2715m) via Kagbeni (2810m)

    Hike duration: 6/7 hours

    Have your breakfast and today is the last day of your trekking program. You will have an easy hike down to Jharkot with the picturesque Kani (large Gompa). Explore the monastery if you want then you will walk through meadows, streams, poplar and fruit trees forest to reach Kagbeni. Kagbenia is the gateway to Upper Mustang where you can see Chorten with various Monasteries. You will have your lunch in Kagbeni and continue trekking to Jomsom through windy trail of Kaligandaki valley. After reaching to the Jomsom check in hotel and have rest for a while and later on you can explore the Jomsom village and its surroundings and you can try the apple and the apple wine over here as well, Jomsom is the best place in Nepal where apple are produce and is best in Nepal. Overnight in Jomsom.


    Day 18: Fly back to Pokhara (820m)

    Flight duration: 20 mins.

    You will have your early breakfast in the lodge and you will head towards airport to catch the flight to Pokhara, a lake paradise city. It will take about 30 minutes to reach to Pokhara. During the flight you can see many mountains as well as the trail down to Tatopani/Ghorepani. Check in to Hotel in pokhara.You has a full day to stroll around the Pokhara city. You can enjoy strolling around the lake side as well as you can have fun by boating in the Phewa lake and witness the view and shadow of Annapurna and Machhapuchre mountain on the surface of water of Phewa lake and visit the Barahi temple which is situated on the center of the Phewa lake, it is one of the famous Hindu temple in Pokhara where you can see many people praying and offerings to the God. Explore the temple surroundings and after completing your sight seen get back to hotel and have rest. Overnight in Pokhara.


    Day 19: Drive back to Kathmandu

    Drive duration: 6/7 hours

    After having Breakfast in the hotel, you will drive back to Kathmandu. You will be heading back to Kathmandu through Prithivi Highway today, enjoy the vegetation while you're driving back and on your left side Trishuli river will be accompanying you throughout the way and for your refreshment the vehicle will stop on the way where you can have your lunch as well. And after arriving Kathmandu, check in hotel and have rest. Later on you can stroll around the local street of Thamel and to its nearby places. Overnight in Kathmandu.
