Nar Phu Valley trekking is one of the famous trekking trails of the Annapurna region where you have the excellent view of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, Lamjung Himal, Tilicho Peak etc. The trekking begins from Beshisahar and takes you through Dharapani, Dharmasala, kayang. One can experience the remote villages, narrow canyons, lovely forests, amazing rock formations, yaks, old Buddhist monasteries, unique Himalayan cultures etc during the trek. Nar Phu Valley is located in the remote area in between the famous Damodar Kunda and Annapurna region where the people of various ethnic groups such as Gurung, Magar, Manangi, Bhotes etc live and follows Tibetan Buddhism from the centuries.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu - 1,400m.

Upon your arrival in the Kathmandu airport, our representative will meet, greet and welcome you and transfer you to your confirmed hotel. You can rest, relax and enjoy your time in the hotel or you can stroll around the city. Overnight Hotel.

 

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu.

After Breakfast, the guided full day sightseeing starts around Kathmandu. Here you can feast your eyes on the rich and colorful history of the country. The tour includes Kathmandu Durbar Square- houses the old royal palace of the Kathmandu kingdom, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple- swarming with monkeys), Pashupatinath- one of the most significant Hindu temple of Lord Shiva in the world, Boudha Stupa- one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu. You will be able to observe the country in its original status. From the top of the SwayambhuNath Temple to the fluttering of colorful prayer flags at Boudha Stupa, you will be able to feel the way of life of the people living in Kathmandu Valley. Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Syange/ Jagat (1100 m). Drive:7-8 Hours.

After Having Breakfast, You will start your day with a drive to Besisahar through Prithvi High way. From Besisahar, you will take a local jeep to Syange. You can see the beautiful view of River, Greeneries, Local villages and Beautiful mountain scenery. From Syange, you will walk for short period to reach Jagat. Overnight Local Lodge.

 

Day 04: Jagat to Dharapani (1960 m).

Today, you will walk from Jagat to Dharapani. After having Breakfast, you will start walking through jungle. The trail goes through the bank of Marshyangdi river and you will start ascending to reach Tal; from here you will enter into Manang district. First, the trail continues through barley, rice and potato fields and then after, pine forests. You will also walk through the village of Kodo which leads you to Dharapani, which is one of the big villages in the Manang valley. Overnight Local Lodge.

 

Day 05: Dharapani to Koto: (2670 m).

Today, you will head towards Koto. You will walk through the mule track in between the Fir, higher Oak and Maple forest and then follow the river bank for some time. Along the way, you will have spectacular views of Himalayan peaks and ranges. Overnight Local Lodge.

 

Day 06: Koto to Dharmasala (3300m).

You will start Narphu valley trekking from Koto, you will walk through a steep and narrow path through the dense forest, after crossing the river, you will follow the trail which leads to Narphu valley. From Nar Phu valley, you will continue walking through the beautiful pine forest to reach Dharmasala. Overnight Local Lodge.

 

Day 07: Dharmasala to Kayang (3560m).

Today you will walk to Kayang. You will climb up the valley along the small river before arriving Meta (3700m). Now, the trail passes through white rocks, low shrubs, junipers, scattered evergreen forest. You can have the best Mountain View on the way. As you pass Junam, you will reach Kayang. Day 08: Kayang to Phu village (4200m)

After having breakfast, you will walk steeply downhill along the river bank passing the submarine rock. You can see the best view of Chorten with canyon lands and gorges on the way to Phu gate from where we can see the three village of Phu. Overnight Local Lodge.

 

Day 09: Acclimatization day at Phu valley.

Today is your acclimatization day in Phu Village. You can stroll around the surrounding and practice walking up and then coming down. It is better to acclimatize on the environment than just resting in high altitude. Overnight Local Lodge.

 

Day 10: Phu village to Nar (4150m):

After having breakfast, you will trek back to Phu gate Khyang, Chyarkha and Jhunam and continue your way to Nar village. Along the way you will see some beautiful gorges and some breathtaking sceneries. You will pass through wonderfully painted, bamboo topped Chortens and arrive Nar gates on the top of the hill. Day 11: Nar to Kang La Phedi (4500m)

You will leave Nar and walk towards Kang La Phedi. Today, your trekking is easy and short so you can explore the Nar Village in the morning and after that trek to Kangla phedi. The trail goes through the grazing field with a small stream on the left. There are mountains on the both sides of the stream. On the left you can see the breathtaking view of Pisang peak. Day 12: Kang La Phedi to Kang La pass (5315m) and then trek to Ngawal (3675m)

You will walk up to Kang La Pass from Phedi in the morning to see the magnificent view of Pisang peak, Annapurna II, Gangapurna, Tilicho peak, and the airport at Hongde. After crossing the Kang La Pass, you will head to Ngwal; a wonderful old village of cobbled streets, prayer wheels and beautiful architecture. Overnight Local Lodge.

 

Day 13: Ngawal to Manang (3570m)

From Ngawal, you will head towards Manang. You will walk thought flat valley along the bank of Marshyandi River. On the way you will pass through pine forest, farming terrace and beautiful village of Braga. You can also visit Braga monastery. From Braga you will see the closer view of Tilicho Peak and Annapurna Range. Overnight Local Lodge.

 

Day 14: Manang to Letdar (4250m).

While going to Letdar from Manang. You will walk on the trail which passes through alpine pastures to scrubby forests of juniper and rose. You must ascend up to Tenki leaving the Marshyangdi River. From Tenki, you will walk upwards continuously to Letdar. Overnight Local Lodge.

 

Day 15: Letdar to Phedi (4420m).

Today, you will walk to Phedi from Letdar. After having Breakfast, you will commence trekking and climb along the bank of the Jorsang Khola. You might see the herds of blue mountain sheep on some parts of the trail.  You will reach Phedi. Overnight Local Lodge.

 

Day 16: Phedi to Muktinath (3800m).

Today you are going to the Sacred Pilgrimage site of Hindu and Buddhists i.e. Muktinath. You must walk through the steep trail; switch backing up moraines and following rocky ridges as it ascends to the pass. You can see the outstanding views of Gangapurna, Annapurna, Thorong peak, Khatung Kang peak. Now, the trail descends steeply down to Muktinath. Muktinath is also the habitat for many ethnics Tibetans and holy Buddhists. You can visit the surroundings of the Muktinath temple and can enjoy in the local environment. Overnight Local Lodge.

 

Day 17: Muktinath to Jomsom (2715m) via Kagbeni (2810m):

Today is the last day of your trekking program. You will have an easy walk down to Jharkot with the picturesque Kani (large Gompa). Now you will walk through meadows, streams, poplar and fruit trees forest to reach Kagbeni. Kagbeni is the gateway to Upper Mustang where you can see Chortens with various Monasteries. You will have your lunch in Kagbeni and continue trekking to Jomsom through windy trail of Kaligandaki valley. Overnight Local Lodge.

 

Day 18:Fly back to Pokhara.(830 m)

You will have early breakfast in the lodge and you will head towards airport to catch the flight to Pokhara, a lake paradise city. It will take about 30 minutes to reach Pokhara. During the flight you can see many mountains as well as the trail down to Tatopani /Ghorepani. Checkin to Hotel in pokhara.

You have a full day to stroll around the city pokhara. you can enjoy roaming around the lake side as well as you can have fun by boating in the Phewa lake and witness the view and shadow of Annapurna, Machhepuchhre, and Dhaulagiri Mountains on the water of Phewa lake. Overnight hotel.

 

Day 19:Drive back to Kathmandu. About 6-7 hours

After having Breakfast in the Hotel, you will catch the bus to drive back to Kathmandu. Arrive Kathmandu and checkin to Hotel. Overnight hotel.

 

Day 20: Final Departure.

Finally, today is the last day of your Nepal program. After having breakfast, you will pack your luggage, get fresh and check-out from the hotel. You will be transferred to the International airport to catch the flight for your onward destination.
