The Langtang valley, also known as “valley of glaciers” offers an abundance of wildlife, extremely rich cultural and historical experience.  Couple this with picturesque scenery such as pine forests, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and mountains rising up; it is bound to be a unique experience.

By this trek, you will understand the history of the Tibetan ancestry and their way of living, agriculture, and trade.  This trail is newly developed leaving the tradition virtually untouched. You can enjoy not only the colorful dresses of the peoples but also the blooming rhododendron forests, birds, and butterflies.

    The tourist police office is located near Nepal Tourism Development Board’s office.They are well trained and fluent in English to assist foreigners. You canalways call 100 for police assistance.

    • Day 1

      Arrival in Kathmandu – 1,400m

      Upon your arrival in Kathmandu airport, our representative will meet, greet and welcome you and transfer you to your confirmed hotel. You can rest relax and enjoy your time in the hotel or you can stroll around the city. Overnight Hotel.
    • Day 2

      Kathmandu to Syabru besi (1460m) Driving duration: 8 to 9 hours.

      Early in the morning, we start our jeep drive to our trip commencing point (Syabru Besi). Once we drive out of the Kathmandu valley, the roads twist and turn along the high hills through remote villages. The landscape changes radically from Kathmandu to Syabru along with the lifestyle of the people living along the way. When you reach the village of Ranipauwa, you can view the Annapurna Mountain range in the west and Langtang Mountain range in the east. Following along the Trishuli River and then touring over rough roads, the road guides you into the Langtang National Park where you will immediately notice the remoteness of the human settlement at higher altitude. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
    • Day 3

      Syabrubesi to Gatlang (2240m) Hiking duration: 4 to 5 hours.

      Today after having Breakfast, you will start by following the trail around the valley and ascending up to a viewpoint which offers beautiful views of the Ganesh Himal, Goljang valley, and the Gosaikunda range. As you descend and walk through the valley of Gatlang, you will pass by a lake and an apple farm. After your arrival in the village of Gatlang, you can get refreshed, get acquainted with the friendly Buddhists, and be introduced to the local Syabru dance. While trekking you will get to experience the Tamang culture. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
    • Day 4

      Gatlang to Tatopani (2240m) Hot Springs! Hiking duration: 6 to 7 hours.

      This day is the most difficult day on the whole journey. The trek starts off by descending to Thangbuchet (near Chilime village) by the Bhotekoshi River. The trail goes along the Bhotekoshi River, passing the villages, and then ascends until you arrive in Tatopani where you will be staying for the night. Chilime Hydropower is one of the attractions there. Tatopani literally means ‘Hot water’. Here, you can relax in the natural hot springs which are believed to have healing properties. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
    • Day 5

      Tatopani to Thuman (2000m) Hiking duration: 4 to 5 hours.

      After having Breakfast in Tatopani, we start through the trail which ascends to Nagthali Danda (3300m) in the high open grasslands with outrageous views of snow-capped peaks. After a lunch break in Nagthali, you can either choose to stay and explore the surrounding area or move onto Thuman to spend the night. Nagthali offers great views of Langtang Lirung, Shishapangma, Ganesh Himal. Thuman is a fairly big Tamang village with traditional Tibetan influence. The ancient Monasteries and woodcarvings that decorate the place are marvelous. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
    • Day 6

      Thuman to Briddhim (2290m) Hiking duration: 6 to 7 hours.

      The trail to Briddhim is challenging until you reach Thuman. We will continue walking through the trail and cross Bhote Kosi River using the suspension bridge. The trail then ascends along the Bhote Koshi until you reach Timure. The path leads through the jungle and passes more villages that have a strong Tibetan influence. The trail to Briddhim in the springtime is vibrant with the rhododendron forests full in blossom. Briddhim also offers a unique homestay experience. Each family provides clean bedding, a toilet and dining area. You have the chance to live with the family and eat traditional foods such as plain rice, Tibetan bread, Syakpa (stew), tea and local wine. You can take part in cultural practices and can enjoy village walks with the family. You will have ample opportunities to experience the local culture first hand and you can try out the traditional costume and participate in a traditional song and dance. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
    • Day 7

      Briddim to Lama Hotel. Hiking duration: 3 to 4 hours.

      Today, after having Breakfast in the local lodge in Lama hotel, you will start trekking through the jungle and small villages at some places. The path offers the panoramic views of mountains and the surrounding hills. You can have your lunch en route place and continue walking to Lama Hotel. Once you reach Lama hotel, you will check-in to the local lodge. Overnight accommodation will be in a local lodge.
    • Day 8

      Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m)via Langtang village (3,430m): Hiking Duration: 6 to 7 hours.

      After having breakfast in the lodge, you will start your trek. You have to climb the steep ascent through the dense forests. From the way, you can see the wonderful view of Langtang Lirung. The trail passes through largest mani wall in Nepal, made from stone and prayers written on them, the water mills, chortens, a sacred pile of rocks with various inscriptions carved on them etc. You must cross several bridges made by the local woods along the way. Overnight Local Lodge.
    • Day 9

      Explore Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m): and Tserko Ri (5000m): Hiking Duration: 5 to 6 hours.

      Today you will explore in and around Kyanjin Gompa. After having breakfast, you can go for a hike to Tserko Ri (5000m/16,404ft) for mountain views. As Tserko Ri lies at quite a high altitude, you might feel the thin air but it is not the place where you will spend your night. After getting some wonderful view of mountains and the surrounding you will return back to Kanjin Gompa. In the remaining time, you can stroll around Kanjin Gompa enjoying the surrounding views along with various floras and faunas. Overnight Local Lodge.
    • Day 10

      Trek back to Lama Hotel: Hiking Duration: 6 to7 hours.

      After having breakfast in the lodge, you will start walking down to Lama Hotel. Today you have to walk 6 to 7 hours downhill through the dense forest to Lama Hotel. You will walk through the ethnic Tamang settlement where the People are influenced by Tibetan religious and cultural practices. Overnight Local Lodge.
    • Day 11

      Trek back to Syabrubesi: Hiking Duration: 5 hours.

      Today is your last day of trekking. After having breakfast, you will start trekking down to Syabrubesi. The total trek is downhill and you will walk through the lush green forest. Overnight Local Lodge.
    • Day 12

      Transfer Back to Kathmandu. Hiking Duration: 8 -9 hours.

      After having breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu and check-in to your hotel. You can rest and relax in the remaining time and you can go out of your hotel and roam around the market for shopping the token of love for your nearest and dearest ones. Overnight Hotel.
    • Day 13


      Finally, today is the last day of your Nepal program. After having breakfast, you will pack your luggage, get fresh and check out from the hotel. You will be transferred to the International airport to catch the flight for your onward destination
