Nepal - Motorcycle Ride to Mustang -The Last Forbidden Kingdom (16 Days)

Journey in Nepal by riding motorbikes is one an amazing option to explore Nepal. The amazing views of the Himalayan peaks, lush valleys and beautiful landscapes, rich in different types of cultural society are just the tip of the iceberg that one gets to experience while in Nepal. Round motorbiking package provides an amazing and unique opportunity to enjoy the beautiful landscape, sample the lifestyle of local people and explore the religious and historical places. We focus on the rugged and adventure off-road in the rural areas of Nepal and Tibet. The motorbiking adventure journey takes you to the very nearby the mountain base camp of different Himalayan peaks.

The Ride to The Last Forbidden Kingdom takes you to the kingdom of Lo-Manthang in upper Mustang. It is a restricted area and retains much of its cultural autonomy and is administered by its own King. During the trip, one can explore a unique landscape, colored by natural earth pigments, man-made caves in the cliffs and Tibetan monasteries set against a backdrop of the distant snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas. These wonderful scenes make this kingdom really a picturesque view.

This itinerary is a guideline only and we will follow the itinerary as far as possible but due to weather conditions, health conditions, natural disasters and other unfavorable phenomenon your guide might decide to amend or skip the itinerary for your own safety. Your guide will help you at any time with providing information regarding conditions and safety during the treks.

Upon your arrival at the Kathmandu airport, our representative will meet, greet and welcome you and transfer you to your confirmed hotel. You can rest relax and enjoy your time in the hotel or you can stroll around the city. Overnight accommodation in a hotel.

Our tour guide will come to pick you up along with the private vehicle. Firstly you will be visiting the UNESCO world heritage site Kathmandu Durbar Square where you can observe the typical wood carved temples and buildings reflecting the ancient Kathmandu city and then you will be heading towards Swyambhunath- the monkey temple where you can observe the religious harmony and tolerance between the Buddhist religion and Hindu religion along with that enjoy the panoramic view of Kathmandu city and the Himalaya ranges from here. After that you will be visiting the Pashupatinath Temple, one of the biggest pilgrimage site for the Hindu religion people in south-east Asia, explore the surroundings and you can observe the ritual body cremating ceremony process of the Hindu people at the bank of holy Bagmati river and then visit another pilgrimage site nearby to the Pashupatinath Temple known as Guweyswori Temple, explore the surroundings and then you will go to visit the another UNESCO world heritage site Boudhanath Stupa. It was built in 600A.D. and is the only one of a kind of stupa reflecting Buddhism in the world. Explore the surroundings of Boudhanath Stupa and after completing your sight seen get back to the hotel and rest. Overnight in a hotel.

Today, our guide will receive you and then drive you to Patan. You’ll be driven to one of the ancient cities inside Kathmandu valley i.e. Patan Durbar Square for sightseeing. In Patan, you will be visiting another UNESCO World Heritage sites: Krishna Temple and Patan Durbar Square. Later on, visit the Patan Museum, where you can learn more about the history of Patan and the kings who reigned here. Later, visit the Golden Temple, a major attraction for the both Hindu and Buddhist people, and Banglamukhi Temple.Then after we will be visiting Bhaktapur, you will be amazed by the architecture, as until today the city has been able to be kept intact in its old form. You can observe the old wood carved buildings all around Bhaktapur and then you will visit another UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Explore the surroundings and afterward visit the Nyatapola Temple, one of the biggest temple in Nepal. You will be taught to design your own pot and once you have your basic shape hammered out, you can even choose to adorn your creation with beautiful patterns and inscriptions. In the morning, you will be given a brief description of the trip and safety measures to be applied during this trip. Later, you will start your motorcycle tour and then travel to Pokhara on your motorcycle which takes about 6 hours. You will travel along the river bank and can see many sceneries on the way. On reaching Pokhara, check-in in your hotel and have rest or go for sightseeing. Overnight in Hotel.

Our real driving off-road tour start from today, drive from Pokhara to Tatopani (the best natural hot spring and we can enjoy the healing bath in the pond). It is believed that bone and joint pain diseases will be healed while taking bath in this natural hot spring. Overnight in local lodge.

Today we have to drive all off-road. The overland journey follows the gorge of Kali Gandaki valley which rises 4 miles above us to the summits of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, Also, the vegetation becomes sparse with the dry climate. Along the journey, you will pass many scenic villages- Kalopani, Tukuche and Marpha and finally arrive at Jomsom town for an overnight stay. At late afternoon, visit natural eco-museum and monastery and enjoy spectacular views of Nilgiri and Tilicho peak. Overnight in local lodge.

Continue our journey, we ride through the blacktopped pitched road to Muktinath along the unique landscape of lower Mustang. You have a whole day so take your time exploring and visit one of the holiest shrines of Nepal i.e. Muktinath temple and nunnery gompa. You will also enjoy Trans Himalayan landscape sceneries like Tibet and splendid mountain views. After finishing exploring the area, you will descend back to the Kagbeni and stay overnight there. Overnight in local lodge.

From today, your Upper mustang special permit will start from Kagbeni check post. On the way, you will visit Kagbeni Monastery and Buddhist School. Then crossing the Kaligandaki river, we will pass through the ancient Buddhist Stupas, Chuksung Village, Chella Village, Samar Village and Ghiling before reaching our destination, Ghami village. The landscape around the village is beautiful with local farmer houses with Yak and caravan. One can also enjoy and experience the Tibetan culture and local activities. Overnight in local lodge.

Today, you will drive from Ghami via Tsarang to Lomanthang. On the way, you can observe domestic Yaks and cattle caravans, mountain views and landscape from the passes, Buddhist school etc. Overnight in local lodge.

Today is your sightseeing day in and around Lo-Manthang. The city contains about 150 houses, as well as residences for many lamas. You will start your day for Zhong cave and Tshosher Monastery (a 1000 years old Tibetan Monastery) by hiring either a Horse or by bike. After returning from these places to Lo-Manthang, you will start the local sightseeing which includes King's palace, Monastery, local surroundings and the village. The king's palace is an imposing building in the center of the city and is occupied by the current King and Queen. Although his duties are largely ceremonial, the King is respected by the people. Throughout the kingdom, the villagers continue to seek his advice regarding many issues. Overnight in Local Lodge.

Lo-Manthang was the last stop of our tour so we retrace our way back to the starting point, Kathmandu. In the morning, we start our bike engine and make our way back to Kagbeni. On our way back you can enjoy the scenery and make some stops to feel the nature. Overnight in local lodge.

In the morning, we continue our descend as we make our way to Tatopani. On the way, make a stop at Marpha village and buy souvenirs. In Marpha, you can buy the dried apple known as Syau Sukuti in Nepali and alcohol made of apple. Later, make you back to tatopani and enjoy the hot bath in hot spring. Overnight in local lodge.

Today, you will make your way to Pokhara via the same road. On reaching Pokhara, check-in at the hotel and get rest or roam the streets of Lakeside. Overnight in Hotel.

Today is a rest day after completing a 10-day long journey to the Last Forbidden Kingdom. Use this day to relax and enjoy the wonderful Pokhara. Overnight in Hotel.

Today, you will be returning to Kathmandu which takes about 6-hour long drive. On the way, you can make a stop at Kurintar and visit Manakamana temple by cable car. On reaching Kathmandu, you'll be transferred to your hotel and have a good rest.

Your trip will come to an end today after breakfast. You will be advised and assisted with your onward travel arrangements and transfer to Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport by our private van around 3 hours before your flight schedule and flight back to your home/other travel destination. Have a safe journey onwards.
