Community Aid Program (20 days)

This Community Volunteer Program is suitable for proactive volunteers those are interested in helping build a better community for the underprivileged to live in. Volunteers are placed with local houses to work, both, on and off the field. Under on-field tasks, volunteers work to build homes, agricultural support, refurbish school structure, landscaping, community cleanups and various other construction works. For the off-field community development work, volunteers can assist the local authorities in providing research and teach extra-curricular skills to people from a disadvantaged background in order to help them make a living better.




Moderate to difficult with continuous descend down of about 8 hours within one day.




August to May (Being in the foothills of the Mt. Everest, this trek could be done throughout the winter).

Asian Heritage Treks support NGO AHF Nepal for supporting Necha Community Hospital, all the Volunteer programs and worked closely with them for rural transformation that directly benefits the underprivileged people. We support them in a number of ways.




Asian Heritage Treks donates up to 10% of its annual profit to AHF Nepal’s projects as CSR. These donations are being used for Necha Community Hospital, education, Livelihood support program through microcredit and Necha Community Hospital.




We are committed to a holistic and humanistic vision of quality education in rural Nepal. Through our Girls Education Scholarship Program 300 primary girls are currently benefiting from this project, which is conducted with full collaboration with Asian Heritage Treks and its friends coordinated by AHF Nepal.



Partnership (Volunteering Program):

The Volunteering Program, organized by Asian Heritage Treks and AHF Nepal, aims to mobilize teams of interested kind-hearted experts and interested individuals or team of Volunteer as an effective and economic measure in supporting the underprivileged people for education, health, and community development in the villages of lower region Solukhumbhu district of eastern Nepal.

This itinerary is a guideline only and we will follow the itinerary as far as possible but due to weather conditions, health conditions, natural disasters and other unfavorable phenomenon your guide might decide to amend or cancel the itinerary for your own safety. Your guide will help you at any time with providing information regarding conditions and safety during the treks.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)

Uponyour arrival in the Kathmandu airport, our representative will meet, greet andwelcome you and transfer you to your confirmed hotel. You can rest relax andenjoy your time in the hotel or you can stroll around the city. Overnight in Kathmandu.


Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu

After breakfast, getready to start your whole day guided sightseeing around Kathmandu. Here you canfeast your eyes on the rich and colorful history of the country. The tourincludes Kathmandu Durbar Square- houses the old royal palace of the Kathmandukingdom, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple- swarming with monkeys), Pashupatinath-one of the most significant Hindu temple of Lord Shiva in the world, BoudhaStupa- one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu. You will be able toobserve the country in its original status. From the top of the SwayambhunathTemple to the fluttering of colorful prayer flags at Boudha Stupa, you will beable to feel the way of life of the people living in Kathmandu Valley. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Patle (1958m)

Drive duration: 9 hours

In the early morning, you will leave Kathmandu and commence your trip towards Patale. Afterreaching to Dhulikhel, you will have your breakfast and if the weather is clearthen you can enjoy your breakfast with the panoramic view of the majesticmountains ranging in north to far east. After breakfast you will continue yourdrive to reach Patale. Overnight at local lodge in Patale.

Day 4: Patale to Gairi (1972m)

Hike duration: 5 hours

Enjoy yourbreakfast along with the spectacular views of the mountains in the morning includingMt. Everest (highest peak in the world) .After having breakfast in Palate;you're hiking towards Gairi starts. You will walk through the remote geographyand with scenic environment, your trail will provide you the picturesque hillsview. The overall hiking takes about 5 hours to reach Gairi. After reaching toGairi have your lunch and rest for a while and later on you will be interactingwith local school's students. Overnight in Gairi.

Day 5: Gairi to Necha (1382m)

Hike duration: 4 hours

Have your breakfast in the morning and commence walking to reach Necha. A typical villagelocated in the foot of the Everest Region. Once you reach Necha, you can enjoythe pure village environment with traditional culture. You will be welcomed by theceremony and introduction by Necha Community Hospital staffs after your arrivalat Necha. Interact with the hospital staffs and explore the surroundings aswell. Overnight at Necha communityHospital.

Day 6- 15: Volunteer in Hospital

In these ten dayswith the Volunteer plan with the staffs and management committee you will besupporting the people left behind by the mainstream development in the remoteterrain of mountainous district through Necha Community hospital. You cansupport the hospital with daily work, caring of patients, maintaining gardenand other as required by the Necha Community Hospital Management during the daytime. Overnight at Hospital bamboo made quarter. You will have yourbreakfast/Lunch/Dinner in Hospital canteen. And on your free time youcan go to explore the Necha village as well.

Day 16: Necha Hospital to Tuintar (695m)

Hike duration: 4 hours

Hurray! This dayis full of fun. After having breakfast at Necha Hospital Canteen you will bewalking down hills to the river where you can enjoy fishing in traditional way,Dudh koshi and Solu Khola rivers are the ideal rivers over here where you canenjoy fishing and try to catch some fish and later on you can enjoy the fish onyour meal. This day will be spent inhome stay.


Day 17: Tuintar - Fishing Day

This day is funroaming around the surrounding and the small hydro power being built. Enjoy thefishing on Dudh Koshi river and you can have fish on your lunch too, afterhaving lunch you will be returning back to Necha Community Hospital as this isyour last day in Necha community hospital so have a good time over here. Overnight at hospital quarter or tent.

Day 18: Necha to Rumjhatar

Hike duration: 7 hours

After having breakfast inthis beautiful village, you will commence your trek to reach Rumjhatar via Chisapani. You will start with up hills and then down hills to reachedRumjhatar. On the way you will pass through some small villages of Rai andSherpa tribes as well as enjoy the beautiful view of mountains and landscapes. Afterreaching to Rumjhatar check in lodge and have rest for a while and later on youcan go to explore the nearby places. Overnightat local /lodge in Rumjhatar.

Day 19: Drive Rumjhatar to Okhaldhunga to Kathmandu

Drive duration: 8/9 hours

After having yourbreakfast in Rumjhatar, you will commence drive to reach Okhaldhunga. You cansee the beautiful sceneries and country side environment of the countrythroughout the drive. You can have short breaks on the way for your refreshmentand for your lunch as well. After reaching to Kathmandu check in hotel and havea sound rest. Overnight in Kathmandu.


Day 20: Departure

Have your breakfast in the morning and later on our office representative will come to the hotel and you will be transfer to the airportregarding your flight time. Have safe journey onwards.
