Nepal - Nagarkot-Dhulikhel-Namo Buddha-Panauti (5 days)

Nagarkot (2175m) is probably the best place to view the Himalaya from the comfort of your Hotel balcony.  A scenic hike to Dhulikhel a quieter place and to observe the high Himalayas adds the extra thrill. The trail to Namo Buddha offers an ancient Tibetan Buddhist culture and night stay in Monastery, dinner with monk and meditation can be a lifetime memory. A legend village Panauti has some ancient temples which have stood the test of time partly because of Panauti’s legendary resistance of earthquake. Panauti was major trading center with its own royal palace

This itinerary is a guideline only and we will follow the itinerary as far as possible but due to weather conditions, health conditions, natural disasters and other unfavorable phenomenon your guide might decide to amend or cancel the itinerary for your own safety. Your guide will help you at any time with providing information regarding conditions and safety during the treks.

In the morning,  our guide will receive you from your hotel and then we drive to the eastern end of Kathmandu valley Sundarijal (trekking starting point). The trail starts off up a typical Tamang village Mulkharka((1800m /5940ft) and continues through the Shivpuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve along the pine, rhododendron and oak forest. Last part an hour descends right after the pass Borlang Bhanjyang (2460m / 8/110ft). Overnight at Chisapani.

We start the trail along with the view of the valley including Mt. Dorje Lakpa and Jugal Himal range and the terraced farming that eventually leads us to hill city Nagarkot 2175m that offers a splendid sunrise view and even mountain ranges. Overnight at Nagarkot.

In the morning we walk along the ridge of Nagarkot hill, and trail drops down to terraced rice field till we reach Araniko high (Kathmandu/friendship Highway) and then we take a short bus ride to Dhulikhel. Overnight at Hotel.

The trail for around 5/6 hrs takes us to a Tibetan Buddhist village Namobuddha with beautiful chorten and monastery. The trail is easy and you'll be welcomed by the splendid monastery and natural beauty. In Namo Buddha, you can take part in the praying ceremony as well as meditation practice.
