Wake up in the morning and begin our day drive from Kerung to Shigatse which is around 480 kilometers drive in South-East direction. Shigatse is the tibet's second-largest city, lying near the union of the Nyang Chu and the Tsang Po, on the main route between Gyantse and West Tibet. Shigatse is the home to the famous Tashilumpo Monastery.

Here you will see a giant statue of Future Buddha, the largest one of its kind on earth (26.2 meters high and 11.5 meters wide). The statue is decorated with precious pearls, turquoises, corals and ambers. Afterwards, return to the hotel and have breakfast. Then, we head to Gyantse and visit the mysterious Palcho Monastery where three of the important Tibetan Buddhism sects coexist. The tour continues by going to Kumbum, which is 35 meters high and has 76 small chapels with hundreds of images of Kriyantras and is believed to be the largest such structure in Tibet. Lastly, we'll visit the GyantseDzong Fortress, which was used by the Tibetan army in the fight against the British army in the early 20th century. Later on, we'll leave Gyantse and head towards Lhasa. Along the road, you will see the Karola Glacier on your left. We make quick spot to admire the beauty of the holy Yamdrok Lake, Which is the largest fresh water lake with 675 square meters in the northern Himalaya, and head fro Lhasa. On reaching Lhasa, check-in to the hotel and have some rest.

After breakfast, we begin exploring Lhasa by visiting the beautiful Potala and Norbulingka Palaces, better known as the winter and summer palace respectively. Built in the 17th century, Potala Palace provides amazing views of the entire city and houses the private quarters of the Dalai Lama. Norbulingka Palace houses what is considered to be the largest man-made garden in Tibet. Next, we'll visit the Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar. Jokhang Temple is another important sacred site which unravels more deep-seated mysteries of Tibetan Buddhism. Inside you can see the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni when he was twelve-years-old. We further stroll through Barkhor Bazaae (a market), the open-air stalls, shops and crowds of Pilgrim make it the nerve center of Lhasa.

It is a short drive from Lhasa to Ganden Monastery, which lies at an altitude of 4,500m. On reaching ganden, explore the attractions in and around the ancient town, which is home to the earliest monastery of the Gelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Although, the monastery is mostly in ruins, it is a fascinating place. Pilgrims arrive in Ganden from all over Tibet to walk around the site of the monastery, and one can observe the rituals they perform on this ‘Kora’ around the monastery.
Accommodation: Hotel/Guest House

From today, we start our trekking part of our journey. From the highest point of the Ganden kora, trek along an ancient trail and enjoy the scenic views of the nature and landscape. Then, walk along a ridge to reach the ancient Hepu village. In the afternoon, you’ll walk through Ani Pagong, a narrow part of the trail that was once home to a nunnery. Afterward, we ascend and finally reach Yama Do.

Accommodation: Camping

We resume our trekking early in the morning as we hike from Yamo Do through a steep gully to the bank of a stream. On ascending, we pass through the Shug La pass and start descending down to the fields of glacial boulders. Tsotup Chup is actually a large stream that flows through the valley, and we will cross this stream towards the end of the trek.

Accommodation: Camping

Go on an exciting 6-7 hour trekk covering 14km. Follow the Tsotup Chu towards the rocky mountain pass of Chitu La. Descend from there into the exquisitely beautiful camping grounds and fields around the tributary of the Tsotup Cho, walking through the picturesque Herder’s camp along the way.

Accommodation: Camping

Herder’s camp to Wango is a long distance with 25 Km to cover for us taking 6 hour hike. As the trail progresses, the path becomes widens and the walking becomes easier. Follow the trail through beautiful rivulets of water and fertile forests and pass through the varieties of trees, scrubs, rhododendrons in full bloom, and vistas of meadows that will take your breath away. There is also a desert not too far away. This part of the trek is really amazing. On walking for sometime, you will pass the village of Changtang, and you can choose  to visit the holy Buddhist meditation site of Yamalung, an ancient hermitage. Eventually, the trail goes to the Samye valley along a beautiful stream.

Accommodation: Camping

Today is our last day of our trekking. As we leave Wangdo, we follow the trail leading to Samye which is 2 hours trek to Samye Monastery. You’ll have spectacular views from Pisha and the vista of the Samye valley along the way. From the high point of Dragmar, explore many temples, and ruins. At Samye itself, explore one of the oldest and holiest Buddhist sites, Samye Monastery. Later, our vehicle will receive you from Samye and then transfer you to Tsedang, the third largest city in Tibet.

Accommodation: Hotel

Tsetang is known as “the cradle of Tibetan Civilization” for two reasons: first, its mild weather and fertile land conceived the great Tibet dynasty; second, it’s the birthplace of the first Tibetans who were said to be the offspring of a monkey and a demoness. Today you will visit the Yumbulakang and Trundruk monasteries. Our guide will give you detail information on history and myths about the Tsedang and later get ready to drive to Lhasa.
