The UNESCO World Heritage Tour includes visits to seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites as well as many other culturally significant sites in the Kathmandu Valley. Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath (also known as the Monkey Temple), Kathmandu Durbar Square, Changunarayan Temple, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and Patan Durbar Square.
Kathmandu houses thousands of temples, stupas, monasteries, pagodas, and monuments. As a result, Kathmandu has been dubbed the “City of Temples” and is well-known throughout the world. The valley is divided into three ancient cities: Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur. Each city has its own UNESCO World Heritage-listed Durbar Square, which features artistic woodwork, brick-paved courtyards, beautiful palaces, and temples. Aside from these cities, many towns and villages have preserved the temples and monuments that define their culture and religion over the centuries.
This 5-day UNESCO World Heritage Tour around the valley is designed to meet the needs of those interested in learning more about Nepalese culture. During the tour, participants can explore and experience the spiritual tranquility surrounding these sites.
