Welcome to the 8-Day Nepal Highlights Tour, a meticulously crafted journey through the heart of Nepal that promises a captivating blend of spirituality, adventure, culture, and natural beauty. The trip starts with a visit to Lumbini, the place where Lord Buddha was born. It’s a spiritual and historical experience. The next day, we’ll drive to Chitwan, where you can enjoy the beauty of Chitwan National Park. You can go on a jeep safari in the jungle, watch birds, and cannon.  After that, we’ll go to Kathmandu, a lively city. Here, you’ll sее important cultural places like Pashupatinath, Budhanilkantha, Boudhanath stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square also visit the Kumari temple. Then, continue your journey to Pokhara, a beautiful city known for its stunning mountain views. In Pokhara, you’ll start the day with an amazing view of the sunrise from Sarangkot, and you’ll visit various interesting places, such as Gupteshwor caves, David Falls, Bindabasini temple, and World Peace Stupa. The tour ends with a drive to the Sunauli border, which marks the end of the trip to Nepal. Itinerary

Day 1Drive from Sunauli to Lumbini (Driving duration: 5/6 hours)

Welcome to Nepal! Upon your arrival at the Sunauli Border; Asian Heritage Treks & Travel representative will greet you, and start driving to Lumbini which is situated about 90 kilometers from the Sunauli border. Lumbini is the most important Buddhist pilgrimage site the place where Buddha was born and attracts Buddhist pilgrims from around the world. Upon arrival, at the Lumbini check in at the hotel for a well-deserved rest
Includes: Private Transport, and overnight accommodation at Sakya Guesthouse or a similar hotel in Lumbini.

Day 2Visit Lumbini and Drive to Chitwan ( Driving Duration: 4-5 Hours)

After having your breakfast you will commence sightseeing in and around the actual birthplace of Lord Buddha. You will head straight to visit the sacred garden, where you will see the Ashoka Pillar, the small pond Pushkarini, the Maya Devi temple, and the remains of the meditational and residential monastery for monks. Lumbini is also home to 12+ international monasteries built by the respective nations, each depicting their own unique architecture. Visit some of these monasteries in the monastery zone and explore the area. Lumbini is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the world for Buddhists.

After exploring Lumbini, you will drive to Chitwan National Park, which takes approximately 4-5 hours, depending on the road conditions. Along the way, you will pass through the beautiful countryside of Nepal, seeing traditional villages and scenic landscapes. Once you arrive in Chitwan, you will check in at the hotel and in the evening explore the Tharu village and immerse yourself in their captivating traditional dance. Savor the unique tea crafted by the Tharu community in charming clay teapots. Following that, experience the mesmerizing Tharu stick dance and the vibrant Dhaan Naach performance.

Day 3Activities in Chitwan

Start your full-day sightseeing tour. You’ll embark on a Jungle Safari by Jeep. Enter the community forest section to observe the One-Horned Rhino and various other wild animals like wild boar, deer, and leopard. Afterward, cross the Rapti River to reach the outskirts of the main national park area. If luck is on your side, you might even spot the Royal Bengal Tiger in the highland area where the bushes can reach up to 5-6 feet. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to witness wild elephants and other fascinating creatures. Once you’ve completed your jungle safari, return to the hotel for lunch. Later, take a guided tour of the Tharu village and enjoy a canoeing adventure on the Rapti River. Here, you can observe the Marsh Mugger and Gharial crocodiles resting by the banks of the Rapti River in Chitwan.

Day 4Drive from Chitwan to Kathmandu (Driving Duration: 4-5 Hours)

After breakfast head back to Kathmandu which is about 170 kilometres far away from Chitwan. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, you will be then transferred to your respective hotel and have a rest. In the evening, you can stroll around the downtown area in Thamel. Or you can go shopping for souvenirs for your friends and family.

Day 5Sightseeing In Kathmandu (Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Budhanilkantha and Kathmandu Durbar Square)

Start your day to visit the Pashupatinath Temple, one of the biggest pilgrimage sites for the Hindu religion people in South Asia. Explore the surroundings; observe the ritual body cremating ceremony process of the Hindu people at the bank of holy Bagmati river.

After that you will go to visit another UNESCO world heritage site Boudhanath Stupa. It was built in 600 A.D. and is one of a kind of stupa reflecting Buddhism in the world. Explore the surroundings of Boudhanath Stupa.

Continue your visit to Budhanilkantha temple; the largest stone statue of Lord Vishnu in Nepal. Reclining on a bed of snakes in the middle of a pond. The five-meter-long granite image carved out of a single rock dates back to the Lichchhavi period. After that you will the UNESCO world heritage site, Kathmandu Durbar Square. Is a historic square palaces, temples, and courtyards. Immerse yourself in the architectural wonders of the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Kumari Ghar (home of the living goddess, the only one in the culture in the world), and various pagoda-style temples, and also observe the typical wood-carved temples and buildings reflecting the ancient Kathmandu city.

Day 6Drive to Pokhara (Driving Duration: 6-7 Hours )

After having your breakfast we will drive to Pokhara. The journey takes approximately 7-8 hours, depending on the road conditions. On the way, you can enjoy the greenery around you and the beautiful hills. What attracts most visitors to Pokhara is the richness of the valley with its pure and natural beauty. Just imagine the joy of observing the majestic Himalayas, reflecting its shadow on Fewa Lake and the cleanness of Pokhara city. When you reach Pokhara make a hotel check in and take a rest.

Day 7Sarangkot Visit and Pokhara Explore

Start your day early with mesmerizing sunrise views from the Sarangkot, just a short drive from Pokhara. Wake up before dawn and make your way to the viewpoint for a breathtaking view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges as the sun paints the sky with vibrant hues. After capturing the perfect sunrise shots, return to the Pokhara Hotel for breakfast. After take some time rest embark on a city tour to explore Pokhara’s cultural and natural wonders. Visit the serene Phewa Lake, temples like Gupteshwor Mahadev and David’s Fall, explore the intriguing International Mountain Museum to learn about the Himalayan expeditions, and wander through the colorful streets of Lakeside, where you can shop for souvenirs and savor the delicious local cuisine. Wrap up your day by watching the sunset over the tranquil Phewa Lake from World Peace Stupa and Pumdikot shiva temple before heading back to your accommodation, making the most of your day in this picturesque Nepalese city.
