The journey begins with a short drive to Sundarijal, a popular Hindu pilgrimage site north of Kathmandu. From there, you enter Shivapuri National Park, known for its cool forest trails, flowing streams, and quiet surroundings. The Chisapani Nagarkot hike is a great escape from the busy city and ideal for nature lovers with limited time.
In the morning, our guide will pick you up from your hotel, and then you will travel to Sundarijal. Once there, you’ll commence your hike with the guide. Along the way, you’ll encounter waterfalls and dense forests, immersing yourself in the scenic trail. Though the hike from Sundarijal is mostly uphill, the beauty of nature and the scenery will help you forget any discomfort as you reach Chisapani. Chisapani, a Sherpa village, boasts spectacular mountain views. In the evening, unwind by witnessing a picturesque sunset from the village.

In the early morning, you can observe the sunrise from Chisapani. Afterward, you will resume your hike to Nagarkot, a hilltop to the east of Kathmandu that offers unmatched scenery of numerous peaks across the Himalayas. Surely, the setting sun ignites your spirit and inspires your imagination with the shades of color it casts upon the Himalayas. The Chispani to Nagarkot hike takes about 5–6 hours.
Upon arriving at Nagarkot around 2 PM, you will have some time to rest and relax at the hotel. Afterward, prepare for excursions in the Nagarkot area for about 2 hours. Enjoy the breathtaking sunset view from Nagarkot before returning to the hotel.

In the early morning, you can observe the sunrise from Nagarkot. Afterward, continue your hike toward Sankhu via Changunarayan. The trail passes through Telkot before reaching Changunarayan, situated at the end of a long ridge extending into the valley. Built in 323 AD by King Hari Datta Varma, the temple is renowned for its architecture and is adorned with intricate wooden and metal sculptures.
From Changunarayan, enjoy views of Sankhu village to the right and Bhaktapur City to the left. Afterwards, return to Kathmandu in a private vehicle.
