Tour Details

Devghat Tour lies in Tanahu District, Gandaki Zone of central Nepal. The town is located at the junction of the Seti Gandaki and Krishna Gandaki rivers and is one of the holiest places in Hindu mythology as well as a holy place for Hindu gods. Lying 7 kilometers (4.3 mi) from the city of Narayangarh and 150 kilometers (93 mi) southwest of the capital Kathmandu, the area boasts many natural features due to its geography and climate including tropical forests, wild animals, and birds.

Devghat is home to various temples and caves of Hindu gods, goddesses, and saints including Goddess Sita’s cave, Bashistha Cave, Radha Krishna Temple, Galeshwor Temple, Sita Ram Temple, Laxmi Narayan Temple, Shankaracharya Temple, Bageshori Temple, Laxmi Narayan Divya Dham, MaulaKalika Temple, and Bishwa Shanti Dharmashala among others. Mahesh Sanyas, Hari Hara, SharanaGati, Galeshwor, RadhaSarbeshworBhajan, and Yogi NarahariNath are ashrams where various religious activities are performed all year round. In MakarSankranti, huge melas (gatherings) are observed each year making it one of the largest religious fairs in Nepal. The date when this festival started remains unknown. Hindu pilgrims bathe at the junction of the Krishna Gandaki river well known for its rare ‘SaligramSheela (holy stone), which Hindu devotees worship as Lord Vishnu.

Itinerary

Day 1Kathmandu to Devghat

In the morning, we begin our journey to Devghat. We drive to Devghat from Kathmandu which takes about 6 hours. After 3 3-hour drive, you will stop at the Trishuli Rafting start point. If you wish, you can enjoy your first adventure, Rafting. Trishuli River is one of the famous raftable rivers in Nepal. You will have lunch after finishing the rafting. Now you will be ready to head towards Devghat.
Accommodation: Overnight in an available Hotel at Devghat.

Day 2Devghat sightseeing

Early in the morning, you will go to the bank of the holy bathing river known as the Kaligandaki and you will be praying in the river in favor of your father and mother those who have died and get to improve your life days to come. Also, there are lots of things to visit around the Devghat like Sita Cave, Maheshashram, Galeshwor Ashram, as well as and their cultural lifestyle. Later, you will be transferred from Devghat to Chitwan.
Accommodation: Overnight in Rain Forest Resort or Similar at Chitwan.

Day 3Chitwan sightseeing

After Breakfast, the full-day safari activities in the jungle of Chitwan begin. If you are lucky, you will see many amazing creatures like One Horned Rhinoceros, Bengal Tigers, Leopards, Monkeys, and many types of Deer and Reptiles. You can also watch birds along the bank of Rapti River which offers the opportunity to view many of the exotic birds, including the Giant Hornbill, Lesser Florican, and Paradise Flycatcher. This apart enjoys the movement of the migratory birds in the BishHajarTaal. Once the night falls, you can enjoy the cultural performances i.e. Tharu dance (a typical traditional dance of Tharu culture).

Day 4Chitwan to Kathmandu

In the morning, you will have your breakfast and check out from the hotel. The Vehicle will be ready to transfer you back to Kathmandu. Once you reach Kathmandu, your Devghat Tour is completed.
