Hike to Dhampus- Australian Base Camp trail located in the northwest direction just beside the Pokhara Valley. Though the hiking period is not long, the views and experience it provides are not less compared to other trekking trails. With the beautiful landscape you will be walking through and the spectacular views you will be seeing, you will surely agree with our earlier mentioned statement.
Hike to Dhampus- Australian Base Camp features beautiful countryside villages, lush forests, and farming terraces along with the splendid Machhapuchhare and Annapurna range. The trail also passes through the rural areas of ethnic groups where one gets the opportunity to explore the culture and its activities. Besides from Annapurna range and Machhapuchre range, you’ll also be able to see the 7th highest peak Dhaulagiri, 8th highest peak Manaslu and others such as Himchuli, Lamjung Himal, and Ganesh Himal.
In the morning, you’ll be driven to Phedi which is 40 minutes away from Pokhara. Phedi is the starting point of our hike to Dhampus. Climbing the stone staircase to Dhampus passing through the rhododendron forest and reaching the beautiful village of Dhampus. From Dhampus, one can view the peaks of the Annapurna massif with other snow-capped mountains like Machhapuchhre and Lamjung Himal. Leaving Dhampus village, we have a gentle ascend through the rhododendron and oak forest till we reach Pothana.
The stone staircase starts again and after a short climb, we reach the Australian Base Camp. From here, one can see the Annapurna massif, Fishtail Mountain, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Himchuli, and others. In the evening, you can roam the jungles surrounding the camp.

In the early morning, enjoy the beautiful sunrise over the Himalayas from your tent. Later, descend through the rocky trail until we reach Kande village. From here, you will be driven back to your hotel at Pokhara in our private vehicle.
