After breakfast, drive alongside the Trishuli River toward Syabrubesi. The road from Syabrubesi takes you into Langtang National Park, where you’ll notice the remote, high-altitude settlements. Follow the trail to a viewpoint at Dhunche, which offers beautiful panoramas of Ganesh Himal, Goljang Valley, and the Gosaikunda range. At Syabrubesi, acquaint yourself with the friendly locals, mostly from the Tamang community, and settle in for the night.

Prepare yourself for a relatively challenging Langtang Valley and Tamang Heritage Trek with a hearty breakfast in the morning. The trek starts with a descent to Thangbuchet. The trail goes along the Bhotekoshi River, passes several villages, and then ascends until you arrive in Nagthali, a once popular meditation hub for monks and priests. Nagthali is an area covered with open grasslands and offers panoramic views of snow-covered mountains like Langtang Lirung, Kerung, and Ganesh Himal.

We start the day with a descending walk for about an hour to reach Thuman. Thuman is one of the Tamang villages that is heavily influenced by Tibetan culture. The people here are friendly and love to sing and dance. Later on, we continue walking through rhododendron forests and meadows towards Briddhim, another Tibetan-influenced Tamang community on the lap of Langtang Himal. The trail to Briddhim in springtime is beautiful as the whole rhododendron forest blooms. In Buddhism, enjoy the traditional local cuisines and take part in cultural practices.

We start our day a little early, as it is a long walk to reach the Lama Hotel. Following the path, it takes us through the jungle and passes by small villages in some places. The trail offers a splendid panoramic view of the mountains and the surrounding hills.

Today is strenuous, as we have to climb about 1000 meters. We start by climbing up a steep forest slope to the Langtang River. Continuing our trail, we reach Ghoda Tabela, the Horse Stable. After this, the path is gradual and offers the beautiful sight of grazing Yaks in the valley. After ascending for some time, we cross a stream and climb past several water-driven prayer wheels. Langtang is one of the oldest villages along this trekking route. From Langtang, the view of mountain peaks is spectacular.

After breakfast, head to Kyanjin Gompa. Along the way, you’ll cross several yak pastures, wooden bridges, and hamlets. Along the path to Kyanjin Gompa, you can see the wonderful view of Langtang Lirung. The trail passes through the largest Mani wall, made from stone and with prayers written on them, the water mills, chortens, a sacred pile of rocks with various inscriptions carved on them, and many more. After crossing some rivers, we reach Kyanjin Gompa. Kyajing Gompa is surrounded by the Himalayas all around. Here, you can test the cheese and curd made from Yak milk.

Relax for the day by exploring the surrounding areas of Kyanjin Gompa. Today, you’ll explore in and around Kyanjin Gompa, with the option to hike to Tserko Ri (5,000 m) for magnificent mountain views. Due to its high altitude, you might feel the thin air, but you won’t spend the night there. After enjoying the breathtaking mountain vistas, return to Kyanjin Gompa. With the remaining time, stroll around Kyanjin Gompa, soaking in the surrounding views and diverse flora and fauna.

Retrace your earlier trail from Kyanjin Gompa to Ghoda Tabela. This time, the return will be easier and more pleasant. After a five-hour hike, you will reach the Lama Hotel, where you can rest for the remainder of the day and enjoy the beautiful surrounding views.

Today is your last day of the Langtang Valley and Tamang Heritage Trek. After having breakfast, you will start trekking down to Syabrubesi. The total trek is downhill, and you will walk through a lush green forest. Follow the route along the river towards Syabrubesi.

Today, you will drive back to Kathmandu. Along the way, you’ll pass numerous hilly villages and settlements. The path up to Dhanding Besi is a little bumpy, but from Dhanding Besi, the road is relatively smooth. During the drive, you can enjoy the scenery of hills, farms, small settlements, and rivers. On reaching Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel.
