Nagarjuna Hill (2128 m), also known as the Jamacho hike, is a popular, short, and easy 1-day hike near Kathmandu in Shivapuri National Park. The most popular pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists is Nagarjuna Hill, also known as Vindhya Mountain, located west of the valley. On Nagarjuna’s hilltop, there is a beautiful Jamacho Monastery with a small statue of Nagarjuna Buddha. Buddhist gods and goddesses line the east side of the stupa. The first row features Mahakala in a meditation pose. In the second row are white tara, green tara, vajrapani, and padmapani. Lastly, in the third row, is Vasundhara.
