The Nagarkot- Dhulikhel- Namo Buddha- Panauti tour takes you to four different places. Nagarkot (2175 m) is probably the best place to view the Himalayas from the comfort of your hotel balcony.  A scenic hike to Dhulikhel a quieter place and observing the high Himalayas add the extra thrill. The trail to Namo Buddha offers an ancient Tibetan Buddhist culture and a night stay in Monastery, dinner with a monk, and meditation can be a lifetime memory. A legendary village Panauti has some ancient temples that have stood the test of time partly because of Panauti’s legendary resistance to earthquakes. Panauti was a major trading center with its royal palace.

Itinerary

Day 1Drive to Sundarijal & trek to Chisapani (2160 m), driving duration: 1 & 1-2 hours hiking duration: 4-5 hours

In the morning, our guide will receive you from your hotel and then we drive to the eastern end of Kathmandu Valley Sundarijal (trekking starting point). The trail starts up a typical Tamang village Mulkharka ((1800 m /5940 ft) and continues through the Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve along with the pine, rhododendron, and oak forest. The last part of an hour descends right after the pass Borlang Bhanjyang (2460 m).
Accommodation: Overnight in the available local lodge at Chisapani.

Day 2Chisapani to Nagarkot (2175 m), hiking duration: 4-5 hours

We start the trail along with the view of the valley including Mt. Dorje Lakpa and Jugal Himal range and the terraced farming that eventually leads us to the hill city Nagarkot 2175 m offers a splendid sunrise view and even mountain ranges.
Accommodation: Overnight in Hotel Mystic Mountain or similar at Nagarkot.

Day 3Nagarkot to Dhulikhel (1550 m), hiking duration: 4-5 hours

In the morning we walk along the ridge of Nagarkot Hill, and the trail drops down to the terraced rice field till we reach Araniko High (Kathmandu/Friendship Highway) and then we take a short bus ride to Dhulikhel.
Accommodation: Overnight in Dhulikhel Aagantuk Resort or Similar.

Day 4Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha (1810 m), hiking duration: 5-6 hours

The trail for around 5-6 hrs takes us to a Tibetan Buddhist village Namo Buddha with a beautiful Chorten and monastery. The trail is easy and you’ll be welcomed by the splendid monastery and natural beauty. In Namo Buddha, you can take part in the praying ceremony as well as a meditation practice.
Accommodation: Overnight in Namo Buddha Resort or similar.

Day 5Hike from Namo Buddha to Panauti (1620 m) & drive to Kathmandu, hiking duration: 4-5 hours driving duration: 1 ½ hour

Trek to the legendary village of Panauti and explore ancient temples. En route, you will experience the breathtaking landscapes and living museum. After lunch, we drive to the historical heritage site Bhaktapur and then explore the full afternoon and evening drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to the Hotel.
Accommodation: Overnight in Yatri Suites & Spa or Similar at Thamel.
