Tour Details

Welcome to the Necha Community volunteer tour program, nestled in the foothills of Mt. Everest. Our mission is to enhance the health and well-being of isolated rural communities by delivering healthcare services and  awareness of health issues. As a participant in the Necha Volunteer Tour, you’ll spend two weeks at this 15-bed hospital, working alongside a resident doctor and dedicated staff members.

NCH, established in 2008 through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of our company in collaboration with AHF Nepal, a non-governmental organization, plays a pivotal role in providing healthcare to 18 villages and over 60,000 underprivileged individuals. The hospital, operational since 2016 in its purpose-built facility, offers a range of services, including Ultrasound and X-ray facilities, minor operations, 24-hour emergency care, pharmacy and laboratory services, antenatal care, deliveries, and both inpatient and outpatient services.

Your primary responsibilities as a volunteer will include basic nursing chores and assisting the doctor with daily duties. This hands-on experience will not only contribute to the daily functioning of the hospital but will also provide you with a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture, including witnessing traditional shamanistic and orthodox practices that still prevail in rural Nepal.

Whether you are a nurse, doctor, or any medical professional seeking a truly rewarding experience in a rural hospital setting, the Necha Volunteer Tour promises an enriching and impactful journey. Join us in making a difference in the lives of those in need and gaining valuable insights into healthcare practices in this unique and remote community.
