The best way to get to know fascinating Kathmandu is to explore it on a guided sightseeing tour. This half-day tour will bring you to Kathmandu’s most important highlight, Bouddhanath Stupa, which is one of the largest spherical stupas in the world, and Pashupatinath Temple, the most sacred temple of Kathmandu where you can experience a traditional Nepalese cremation ceremony. After breakfast, drive to the airport and depart to Pokhara. It is a 30-minute flight from Kathmandu. In the morning, after having breakfast, drive to Pokhara city and start a half-day sightseeing at Pokhara’s traditional old bazaar which is a colorful and ethnically diverse market. Followed by Bindhyabasini Temple dedicated to Goddess, Bhagawati, and another manifestation of Shakti, Gupteshower Cave- popular for the different natural forms made from limestone deposits and Devi’s Fall which comes to its gushing best just before disappearing underground. After finishing sightseeing, drive to Rupakot Resort, located on the top of Rupakot village about 22 km East of Pokhara spreading over 25 acres of land. The resort is a combination of nature, luxury, and heritage. Check in at the hotel and enjoy your stay.

After breakfast at the resort, our team will drop you off at the airport and depart for Bhairahawa, a gateway to Lumbini. Our team representative will receive you at the airport and help you to reach Buddha Maya Garden. Later, you will commence your sightseeing program in and around the birthplace of Lord Buddha. You will visit the sacred garden, where you will see the Ashoka pillar, the small pond Puskarini, the Maya Devi temple, and the remaining meditational and residential monastery for monks. After that, you will visit some of the monasteries built by International communities in the monastery zone and return to the hotel.

After breakfast, drive to Chitwan. Along the way, you will see nice scenery, rivers, farmland, paddy fields, typical houses, and the lifestyle of the people while you drive. Check-in at the Barahi Jungle Lodge. Upon arrival, a welcome drink is served and there will be a short briefing on the program. Later, have dinner and rest.

On the eighth day of our Nepal 5-Star Deluxe tour, we go for sightseeing. Out of 519 species of birds, we recorded 276 species in our area. Hence, the area around Barahi Jungle Lodge is considered a paradise for bird watchers. Our guides will help you to identify some of the species of these birds. After Breakfast, visit the Elephant briefing/Bathing program: Learn more about these fascinating animals during a visit to our elephant stables followed by Elephant Bathing in the River. After Lunch, go for a Jeep Safari and canoe trip (subject to weather conditions & water level in the river). Proceed for the Jeep Safari which begins from the open grassland area followed by the mix (riverine) forest which continues inside the dense Sal Forest crossing the Reu River inside the Park to see different wildlife.
Exploring Chitwan This whole drive will be around 2½ -3 hours. After the drive come down to the Rapti River and start boating in a traditional Patel for about 45 minutes which takes you on a silent trip down the Rapti River to view aquatic birds, crocodiles, Gharial, and the animals of the river banks. After Boating, walk back to the resort. In the evening go for the Tharu Cultural dance: Farmers of the nearby villages will show some of their traditional skills and dances. Dinner in the central dining hall or outside in the pool area.
Note: The bathing program is done during the summer season as the elephant loves to bathe in the river willingly. Elephants are not forced to take a bath during the cold season/day.

Wake up early in the morning. Followed by tea/coffee, you will visit a village with Bullock Cart Ride: Our naturalist will brief you about the social and cultural aspects of the villagers and their lifestyle. Early in the morning, enjoy the sunrise view over the eastern Himalayas peaks of Nepal from the Resort. After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu via the medieval town of Bhaktapur. One is sure to feel like traveling back into the past while walking along the Bhaktapur alleys, squares, and streets. Later, return to Gokarna Forest Resort and check in at the hotel. Today you have a free day. In the resort, after having breakfast, you can relax in the resort area surrounded by the forest and roam around the private royal hunting grounds of Kings in the past with spotted deer, barking deer, or monkeys who wander freely in the vicinity. Spend your day at the Golf course to experience the divine spirit of the environment and the uniqueness of the golf course. In the evening, enjoy the spa as you wash away your fatigue.
