Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to Kathmandu Nepal. An Asian Heritage Treks & Travel representative will welcome you at the airport with your nameplate.  After Arrival at Nepal airport, we will transfer you to the Hotel. On the way to the hotel, you will pass by the Pashupatinath Temple,  Royal Palace Museum i.e. Narayanhiti, Garden of Dreams, and reach Thamel. Your hotel will be downtown at Touristic Hub. Our representative will facilitate you and discuss your travel itinerary. There will be enough time to stroll through the street of Thamel.

Day 2Visit to Live Museum

You will start your Nepal Handicraft tour by visiting Bungmati, an outskirt village at Lalitpur, to explore traditional wooden handicrafts. You can watch the live artwork of the artisans, talk to sculptors, and take pictures. At the same time, tourists can observe the traditional Bungmati village, its people, and their livelihood.

Day 3Visit to Patan

Today, you will head towards Patan where you can see the traditional artwork of metal handicraft at work. You will be surprised by the sheer amount of concentration and hard work that the artisans put in every minute detail in sculptures. You will also be sightseeing around the Patan Durbar Square, where you can see the hand-made crafts designed in the temples.

Day 4Visit the Old City of Bhaktapur

Bhaktapur, an ancient city, is our destination for today. On reaching Bhaktapur, you can see the art in motion and the UNESCO World Heritage site, Bhaktapur Durbar Square. After some sightseeing around the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, you will take part in pottery making. Pottery making in Bhaktapur is done by traditional methods. After finishing the lessons, return to Kathmandu and have rest.

Day 5Excursion to Woolen Handicrafts Factory

Our guide will arrive to pick you up and take you to the Factory of Woolen Handicrafts. There, a specialist from the factory will welcome you and provide you with a briefing on the woolen manufacturing process. Subsequently, you will have the opportunity to enter the factory and witness firsthand the transformation of a single thread of wool into a finished product ready for use. You will also learn about the destinations to which these handicrafts are distributed and the main markets for these products. Once you have acquired all the information about woolen handicrafts, our guide will transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 6Visit to Stone Handcrafts Factory

After having breakfast in the hotel, you will get ready to leave the hotel for a handicraft tour. Today, you will see the process of making handicrafts from the bulk of stone. Here, you will see the locals engage in making stone handicrafts and architecture. If you like, you can directly consult with the local artists and learn more about the stone architecture. You will be transferred back to the hotel after the excursion.

Day 7Visit to Nigalo Handicrafts Factory

Today, you will be visiting another handicraft workshop. This workshop specializes in making handicrafts made from bamboo and Ningaloo. On reaching the workshop, you can see different types of materials like a chair, Tea table, different gift items, dustbins, and baskets made by using the Nigalo and Bamboo. Here, you will also see how these items are made and will know in which part of the country, the plant is found and how the supply of the manufactured product is done. After visiting the factory, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 8Excursion to Mat Making Factory

Visit a Nepali Mat-making factory. When you reach the factory, you will be briefed by the guide about the process of making the mat. Inside the factory, you will see the women engaged in making mats by using threads of various colors. You will return to the hotel after visiting the site.

Day 9Excursion to Khukuri Making Factory

After breakfast, you will get ready to leave for the handicrafts tour to Khukuri factory. Here, you will see the people working on the fire, made of wood, to give appropriate heat to the iron rod which is used for making Khukuri. After, visiting the factory, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 10Visit to Tibetan Singing Bowls Factory

Today, you will be transferred to the place where Singing Bowls are manufactured. You will visit the factory and see the actual manufacturing process. The guide and the specialist of the Singing Bowl will also brief you about the entire process of making the same. After gaining knowledge about the bowls, you will be transferred to the hotel and your Nepal Handicraft Tour concludes here.

Day 11Departure

Have your breakfast early in the morning and our office representative will come to pick you up at the hotel to transfer you to the airport regarding your flight time.
