Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to Kathmandu Nepal. Asian Heritage Treks & Travel representative welcomes you at the Airport with your nameplate.  After Arrival at Nepal airport, we will transfer you to the Hotel. On the way Airport to the Hotel, you will pass by the Pashupatinath Temple, Royal Palace Museum i.e. Narayanhiti, Garden of Dreams, and reach Thamel. Your hotel will be in the downtown Touristic Hub. Our representative will facilitate you and discuss your travel itinerary. There will be enough time to stroll through the street of Thamel.

Day 2Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu Durbar square - Swyambhunath Stupa - Pashupatinath temple - Boudhanath Stupa)

Today, you’ll embark on a captivating journey to Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage gems. A private vehicle and an expert guide will accompany you. Kathmandu Durbar Square unveils its ancient charm, showcasing exquisite wood-carved temples and historic edifices. Witness the fusion of Buddhism and Hinduism’s spiritual coexistence at Swyambhunath, while soaking in Kathmandu’s panoramic vistas. Venture to Pashupatinath Temple, a paramount Hindu pilgrimage site in South Asia. Here, you’ll witness the sacred cremation rituals along the holy Bagmati River. Nearby, explore Guweyswori Temple, another pilgrimage gem. Your journey continues to Boudhanath Stupa, a UNESCO site dating back to the 14th century, epitomizing Buddhism’s essence. Day 3Sightseeing tour around Patan and Drive to Bandipur (1030m), (Driving duration: 6 hours)

Today’s adventure near Kathmandu encompasses two ancient cities: Patan boasts UNESCO World Heritage gems like the Krishna Temple and Patan Durbar Square. Dive into history at the Patan Museum, unveiling the reigns of bygone kings. Explore the sacred Golden Temple, cherished by both Hindus and Buddhists, and the revered Banglamukhi Temple.

After visiting Patan head towards Bandipur, located in the west of Kathmandu. This charming village is approximately 150 kilometers away from the capital city. En route, you can enjoy the lush vegetation of Nepal, with the picturesque Trishuli River accompanying you on your journey to Bandipur. Upon arrival in this scenic village, Check in at the Hotel and take a well-deserved rest.

Day 4Bandipur to Lumbini (150m/492ft), Driving Duration: 5-6 Hours

The journey from Bandipur to Lumbini takes you through the scenic countryside of Nepal. You will drive through lush green hills, winding roads, and traditional villages. The road to Lumbini is well-paved, making for a comfortable journey that takes approximately 5-6 hours. Once you reach Lumbini, you will check in at the hotel and take a rest.

Day 5Visit Lumbini and Drive to Bardiya (1441m/4,728ft), Driving Duration: 6-7 Hours

You will explore the sacred site where Lord Buddha was born and visit the many monasteries and temples in the area. Lumbini is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the world for Buddhists. After exploring Lumbini, we will drive to Bardiya National Park, which takes approximately 6-7 hours, depending on the road conditions. Along the way, you will pass through the beautiful countryside of Nepal, seeing traditional villages and scenic landscapes. Once you arrive in Bardiya, you will check in at the hotel and have a rest.

Day 6Bardiya Activities I

The Bardiya National Park, also known as Bardia, is a protected area in Nepal established in 1988 as the Royal Bardia National Park. This park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including at least 53 mammal species such as rhinoceros, wild elephants, Bengal tigers, swamp deer, and Gangetic dolphins. During our visit to the park, we will explore the Crocodile breeding center and take a Tharu village tour to learn about the Tharu people’s life and culture. We will also enjoy a jungle walk to observe the park’s flora and fauna. A visit to the Forest Hideaway wouldn’t be complete without experiencing the colorful dances performed by local Tharu people, showcasing their traditional costumes and music, which are a highlight of the cultural tour.

Day 7Bardiya Activities II

Prepare yourself for another opportunity to catch a glimpse of various wild animals such as the one-horned rhino, Asian elephant, Spotted Deer (Chital), Barking Deer, Hog Deer, Samber, Swamp Deer, Barasingha, Black Buck, Bull, Wild Boar, Blue Cow (Nilgai), Royal Bengal Tiger, Wild Dog, Leopard, Striped Hyena, Golden Jackal, and many others during the jungle safari. After the safari, we will visit the visitor center in the National Park and then explore the park’s other attractions. Next, we will head to the Karnali River for a canoe trip, where you can enjoy the stunning view of the sunset from the riverbank. If you’re lucky, you may even spot various species of birds and dolphins in the Karnali River.

Day 8Drive to Pokhara (Driving Duration: 10-11 Hours)

Today is quite a long day for you. After having your breakfast we will drive from Bardiya to Pokhara takes you through the scenic countryside of Nepal, passing through small villages and towns along the way. The journey takes approximately 10-11 hours, depending on the road conditions. You will see traditional Nepali architecture, lush green hills, and terraced fields as you make your way. Along the way, you’ll also see beautiful scenery, including lush green forests and mountains. When you reach Pokhara make a hotel check in and take a rest.

Day 9Drive to Ulleri & trek to Ghorepani (2860m ) ,(Driving duration: 3 Hours) and hiking duration: 3 hours)

After having your breakfast take a private vehicle to Ulleri, which is about 3 hours away. Our destination for tonight is Ghorepani. We embark on a journey to Ghorepani through a slightly more accessible trail, traversing stunning Rhododendron and pine forests while crossing charming little bridges. Our path leads us to the picturesque village of Ghorepani, which boasts a striking blue hue. After a few hours of trekking, we’ll arrive at the village in the late afternoon. Ghorepani offers an outstanding viewpoint to admire the majestic Mt. Dhaulagiri, standing tall at 8167 meters.

Day 10Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3210 M) and trek to Tadapani (2630 M), (Hiking Duration: 5-6 Hours)

An early morning pre-breakfast hike to see the sunrise view from the top of Poon Hill. The path is steep uphill to the top. Here, you can get a 360-degree view of the Himalayas and hills. You can witness the stunning sunrise with the panorama of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Fishtail, and the entire Annapurna range. Following the sunrise experience, we return to Ghorepani and have breakfast. Afterward, we continue our hike through picturesque rhododendron forests, next to untamed creeks and waterfalls. We take a break at Banthati to have lunch then start continuing the journey towards Tadapani 2590m).

Day 11Tadapani to Chhomrong (2010 M), Hiking Duration: 5/6 Hours

The trail takes us alongside terrace rice fields and many small settlements. We then descend to cross the Kimrung Khola before ascending to reach Chhomrong in the early afternoon. From Chhomrong, a breathtaking view of Fishtail and Annapurna South awaits us.

Day 12Chhomrong to Landruk (1650m), (Hiking Duration: 6-7 Hours)

Today, you’ll follow the path leading to Landruk. We descend to the river, to cross at New Bridge. It is ideal to explore the natural beauty, culture, and lifestyle of the Magar people, viewing the flora and fauna. Spectacular views of Mount Annapurna, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchre, and other peaks spellbound travelers. We will traverse amazing views of the beautiful rural landscape, terraced fields, farmland, and high mountains. Chhomrong to Landruk trails go down through the dense forests till Jhinu Danda. Then descend steeply via terraced fields toward Modi Khola and ascend to Landruk Village.

Day 13Landruk to Dhampus, & drive to Pokhara (Hiking Duration: 4-5 Hours) Drive Duration: 2 Hours

On the final day of the trek, Wake up early morning and enjoy the view from the Tea House Lodge. After your breakfast, move a little upwards and follow the wide graveled trail. All the way around three hours and head up to Deurali (2800m) From there stunning views of south Annapurna and Hiunchuli and so on can be seen. As well as the Pokhara Valley also can be viewed. Afterward, descend slowly steep down through the forest, and come across the path of Pothana. There you can stop for lunch. So again, by showing the ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Project) permit you will reach Dhampus. From Dhampus you will take about 2 hours drive to Pokhara.

Day 14Sightseeing in Pokhara

Begin your day with an early drive to Sarangkot to witness the serene city view before dawn, as the first sunbeams kiss the distant mountains. Sarangkot boasts breathtaking vistas of the Himalayas, featuring Annapurna, Fishtail, Dhaulagiri, and more. Your next stop is the World Peace Stupa, perched atop a hill, offering an hour’s drive from Pokhara. Here, you’ll be awestruck by panoramic views of the northern and western mountain ranges, including Annapurna, Nilgiri, Glacier Dome, Fishtail, and Dhaulagiri. Afterward head to Devi’s Fall, Gupteswor Cave, and Seti Gorge. Once the sightseeing is complete, return to your hotel and rest

Day 15Drive back from pokhara to Kathmandu. (Driving duration 6-7 hours)

Today you will have a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, starting from Pokhara after having your breakfast. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your respective hotel and have a rest.
In the evening, Perhaps you can explore the vibrant streets of Thamel for some shopping and local cuisine or visit one of the many art galleries or museums in the city You can have an option to revisit favorite spots or venture into Kathmandu to explore areas you may have missed earlier.

Day 16Departure

Your trip will come to an end today. You will be advised and assisted with your onward travel arrangements and transfer to Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport by private transport around 3 hours before your flight schedule and flight back to your home/other travel destination. Have a safe journey onwards.
