Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to Kathmandu Nepal. Asian Heritage Treks & Travel representative welcomes you at the Airport with your nameplate.  After Arrival at Nepal airport, we will transfer you to the Hotel. On the way Airport to Hotel, you will pass by the Pashupatinath Temple, Royal Palace Museum i.e. Narayanhiti, Garden of Dreams and reach Thamel. Your hotel will be in downtown of Touristic Hub. Our representative will facilitate you and discuss your travel itinerary. There will be enough time to stroll through the street of Thamel.

Kathmandu Airport

Day 2Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu Durbar square - Swyambhunath Stupa - Pashupatinath temple - Boudhanath Stupa)

Today, you’ll embark on a captivating journey to Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage gems. A private vehicle and an expert guide will accompany you. Kathmandu Durbar Square unveils its ancient charm, showcasing exquisite wood-carved temples and historic edifices. Witness the fusion of Buddhism and Hinduism’s spiritual coexistence at Swyambhunath, while soaking in Kathmandu’s panoramic vistas. Venture to Pashupatinath Temple, a paramount Hindu pilgrimage site in South Asia. Here, you’ll witness the sacred cremation rituals along the holy Bagmati River. Nearby, explore Guweyswori Temple, another pilgrimage gem. Your journey continues to Boudhanath Stupa, a UNESCO site dating back to the 14th century, epitomizing Buddhism’s essence. Day 3Sightseeing tour around Patan and Drive to Bandipur (1030m), (Driving duration: 6 hours)

Today’s adventure near Kathmandu encompasses two ancient cities: Patan boasts UNESCO World Heritage gems like the Krishna Temple and Patan Durbar Square. Dive into history at the Patan Museum, unveiling the reigns of bygone kings. Explore the sacred Golden Temple, cherished by both Hindus and Buddhists and the revered Banglamukhi Temple.
After visiting Patan head towards Bandipur, located in the west of Kathmandu. This charming village is approximately 150 kilometers away from the capital city. Enroute, you can enjoy the lush vegetation of Nepal, with the picturesque Trishuli River accompanying you on your journey to Bandipur. Upon arrival in this scenic village, Check in at the Hotel and take a well-deserved rest.

Day 4Drive to Nayapul and trek to Ulleri (Driving duration: 5 Hours) and hiking duration: 3 hours)

Wake up early in the morning have a breakfast and take a private vehicle to Nayapul, which is about 4 to 5 hours away. Our destination for the night is Ulleri, and to get there, we embark on a 4-hour trek from Nayapul. Along the way, we pass through charming Nepali villages and picturesque terraced rice fields. The final leg of our journey is particularly fascinating as it involves climbing approximately 2,500 stone stairs.

Day 5Ulleri to Ghorepani (2860 M), (Hiking Duration: 5 Hours)

We embark on a journey to Ghorepani through a slightly more accessible trail, traversing stunning Rhododendron and pine forests while crossing charming little bridges. Our path leads us to the picturesque village of Ghorepani, which boasts a striking blue hue. After a few hours of trekking, we’ll arrive at the village in the late afternoon. Ghorepani offers an outstanding viewpoint to admire the majestic Mt. Dhaulagiri, standing tall at 8167 meters.

Day 6Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3210 M) and trek to Tadapani (2630 M), (Hiking Duration: 5-6 Hours)

An early morning pre-breakfast hike to see the sunrise view from the top of Poon Hill. The path is steep uphill to the top. Here, you can get a 360-degree view of the Himalayas and hills. You can witness the stunning sunrise with the panorama of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Fishtail, and the entire Annapurna range. Following the sunrise experience, we return to Ghorepani and take a breakfast. Afterward, we continue our hike through picturesque rhododendron forests, next to untamed creeks and waterfalls. We take a break at Banthati to have a lunch then start continue journey towards Tadapani 2590m).

Day 7Tadapani To Landruk (1650m), (Hiking Duration: 6-7 Hours)

Today, you’ll follow the path leading to Landruk. It is ideal to explore natural beauty, culture and lifestyle of Gurung people, viewing the flora and fauna. Spectacular view of Mount Annapurna, Annapurna south, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchre and other peaks spellbound the travelers. We will traverse amazing views of the beautiful rural landscape, terraced field, farm land and high mountains. Tadapani to Landruk trails go down through the dense forests till Ghandruk village. Then descend steeply via terraced fields toward Modi khola and ascend to Landruk Village.

Day 8Landruk to Forest Camp (2480m), (Hiking Duration: 6-7 Hours)

We begin our trek after having our breakfast. Your trail rises again along stone staircases over viewing Landruk and Ghandruk village showcasing the valley floor. Continue steep uphill through the beautiful birch and rhododendron forest. The Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges in the backdrop are enchanting, you might also get a glimpse of rare birds before arriving at Forest Camp.

Landruk

Day 9Forest Camp to High camp (3600m) (Hiking Duration: 6-7 Hours)

After breakfast, We start our trek by climbing uphill toward High Camp. There is also a chance to see colorful Pheasant (Nepalese National Bird; Daphne; known as Himalayan Monal,) on the way, we stop at Badal Danda for some hot drinks and to admire the panoramic views of Machhapuchhre, Mardi Himal, Himchuli, Annapurna ranges, and many others. We continue going uphill to high camp.

Forest Camp

Day 10High Camp To Sidhing, and Drive To Pokhara (Hiking Duration: 4-5 Hours), (Driving Duration: 2 Hours)

Today we begin our descent from High Camp to Sidding Village. We depart high camp and leave for low camp, where we will have lunch. We travel through the woodland, losing the wonderful mountain vistas but being greeted with glimpses of terraced fields and stunning valley views. Sidding is a village with a diverse cultural mix. This is the largest village on the Mardi Himal Trek, so take a look around and learn about the local culture. Then take a drive to Pokhara.

High Camp

Day 11Sightseeing in Pokhara

Begin your day with an early drive to Sarangkot to witness the serene city view before dawn, as the first sunbeams kiss the distant mountains. Sarangkot boasts breathtaking vistas of the Himalayas, featuring Annapurna, Fishtail, Dhaulagiri, and more. Your next stop is the World Peace Stupa, perched atop a hill, offering an hour’s drive from Pokhara. Here, you’ll be awestruck by panoramic views of the northern and western mountain ranges, including Annapurna, Nilgiri, Glacier Dome, Fishtail, and Dhaulagiri. Afterward head to Devi’s Fall, Gupteswor Cave, and Seti Gorge. Once sightseeing is complete, return to your hotel and rest

Day 12Drive from Pokhara to Chitwan & Activities (Drive Duration: 5-6 Hours)

Today, we head to Chitwan National Park. During your visit, explore the Tharu village and immerse yourself in their captivating traditional dance. Savor the unique tea crafted by the Tharu community in charming clay teapots. Following that, experience the mesmerizing Tharu stick dance and the vibrant Dhaan Naach performance. As the day winds down, bask in the serene beauty of the riverside, where you can catch a glimpse of the local wildlife while enjoying a breathtaking sunset.

Tharu Village Chitwan National Park

Day 13Chitwan Activities

Today, we will first explore the jungle of Chitwan. Then, we will venture deep into the forest in a local jeep to track the tiger’s footprints. Additionally, be prepared for a glimpse of the one-horned rhino, Asian elephant, Spotted Deer (Chital), Barking Deer, Hog Deer, Samber, Swamp Deer, Black Buck, Bull, Wild Boar, Wild Dog, Leopard, and many other wild animals. Following the jungle safari, we will embark on a canoe trip along the Rapti River, where you’ll have the opportunity to observe a variety of birds.

Chitwan National Park

DAY 14Bird watching in Chitwan & Drive to Kathmandu (Driving Duration: 4-5 Hours)

Get up early in the morning and our tour guide will take you around the Rapti riverbank for the Bird Watching. Chitwan is one of the best places for bird watching in the world. Many students and researchers used to visit Chitwan to study the birds around here. Our tour guide will explain to you about the different species of birds and how they migrate in the winter season from a different part of the world to Chitwan, Nepal.
Later on, visit the Elephant and Crocodile Breeding Center where you can observe the life cycle of these animals and how National Park is saving these animals then heading back to Kathmandu which is about 170 kilometres far away from Chitwan. Upon arrival at Kathmandu, you will be then transferred to your respective hotel and have rest. In the evening, you can stroll around the downtown area in Thamel. Or you can go shopping for souvenirs for your friends and family.

Birdwatching

DAY 15Enjoy in Kathmandu or Free Day

As your journey nears its end, you have the flexibility to choose how to spend this day. This day is a free day for you to explore Kathmandu at your leisure. You can have the option to revisit favourite spots or venture into Kathmandu to explore areas you may have missed earlier. Perhaps you can explore the vibrant streets of Thamel for some shopping and local cuisine or visit one of the many art galleries or museums in the city.

Optional Activities you can do in your free day:

Day 16Departure

Your trip will come to an end today. You will be advised and assisted with your onward travel arrangements and transfer to Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport by private transport around 3 hours before your flight schedule and flight back to your home/other travel destination. Have a safe journey onwards.
