Tour Details

Pikey Peak Trek is an easy, short trekking trail in the lower Everest region. It is a newly opened trekking route with great views of the eastern Himalayan Mountains. Pikey Peak is one of the famous viewing points for panoramic views of Mount Everest, Kangchenjunga, Makalu, and Lhotse. It is an ideal option for short-term trekkers. The beautiful landscapes and comfortable trekking route make the Pikey Peak trek very unique. From this vantage point, one can see the best sunrise and sunset panoramic views within the deep green valleys. At present, Pikey Peak is one of the most popular short-tour destinations in Nepal among tourists within 5 days of easy trekking. Pikey Peak is a seasonal snowy hill where local Sherpa people go for short hiking trips and to hang the prayer flag on the top.

The Pikey, named after the name of the local Sherpa deity, represents the sky over nature. During the monsoon period, in June or July, local Sherpa people worship their clan god and perform the ceremony of the Buddhist Lama and a group of monks. You get to learn a lot about Sherpa culture and tradition. The trail also takes you across other communities like Tamang, Rai, Chhetri, etc. Likewise, stupas, prayer wheels, and prayer flags are on the way. The overall journey is awe-inspiring and offers a lifetime experience.

In addition to this, the trail enjoys more peaceful surroundings as well as lower numbers of tourists than other trails in the region of Mount Everest. For this reason, the Pikey Peak trek is the perfect choice for those looking for a peaceful and relaxed journey. During the course of the journey, you will be able to explore the beautiful surroundings of rhododendron forests, tiny villages, and stunning ridges with views of the mountains all around.
Another benefit of the Pikey Peak trek is that one does not need any prior trekking experience or preparation to accomplish the trek. Even new trekkers with little experience and average physical condition can accomplish this trek in a few days’ time. The ideal times to undertake this trek are the spring and autumn months. These months are characterized by clear skies and good visibility of the mountains. For those who want to experience the Himalayas in a shorter period, the Pikey Peak trek is an excellent choice.

I recently completed the Pikey peak trek, and it was an unforgettable experience. Our Guide Rohit is very professional and knowledgeable with almost 20 years of experience on the Mountain in Nepal. He was always careful to our safety throughout the entire trekking. Our Porters, Lakpa and Milan were really strong, hard-working; they carried our gear and supported us throughout the journey. Asian Heritage manages our Transportation, hotel accommodations and logistics part. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking to trek to Everest region.
