Tour Details

The Rolwaling Trek is located in the eastern part of Nepal and provides magnificent views of the mountains such as Mt. Melungtse, Mt. Tashi Lapcha, Mt. Everest, Gauri Shankar, Pharcharmo, Ramdung, Langtang, Jugal Himal, and Mt. Dorje Lakpa. On the Rolwaling Trek, you also get to see a variety of flora and fauna, rivers, streams, and lakes. Experience the culture and heritage of the local people and the local food in a totally remote Himalayan environment. The indigenous Sherpa say the meaning of the Rolwaling valley is “grave” because the valley is located at the foot of two vertical peaks covered by snow. This trekking trip is very suitable for people who want to spend some time in a remote place without disturbing other people.
The Rolwaling Trek starts with a drive from Kathmandu to Barabise. From Barabise, the trekking starts and guides you through Kabre, Dolongsa, Bigu Gompa, Chilangka, Shalu, Simigaon, the Forest Camp, Beding, Na, Chetchet, Chetre, Dolakha, and Charikot, from where you will drive back to Kathmandu.
