Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Paro (Bhutan) and Drive to Thimphu

Upon your arrival in Paro, you’ll be greeted by breathtaking scenery before embarking on a scenic drive to Thimphu. After checking into your hotel, immerse yourself in the vibrant culture by heading to Thimphu’s open-air archery venue. Here, you’ll have the chance to witness Bhutan’s national sport and soak in the lively atmosphere of this charming capital city.

Day 2 Sightseeing in Thimphu

On the second day of your Royal Bhutan Tour, you are going to soak yourself in the scenic nature, take Jigme Dorji Wangchuk Park walks, and hike to Tango Monastery in the morning. In the afternoon, we will visit the Buddha viewpoint, art school, and weekend market. Enjoy the evening walk in town.

Day 3 Thimphu to Punakha

Explore the beautiful temples at Dochula Pass. On the third day of the Royal Bhutan Tour, gain insight into the rich flora and fauna of Bhutan with a visit to the royal botanical garden at Lamperi. In the afternoon, embark on a hike to the fertility temple in Mesina. In the evening, join the nuns for prayers at Punakha.

Day 4Punakha

Explore the grand Punakha Dzong, a majestic fortress, and marvel at the incredible arts and crafts available at the Dzong site. Take a stroll to experience the longest suspension bridge nearby. Later in the afternoon, immerse yourself in adventurous activities by participating in camping and rafting, adding an extra thrill to your day.

Day 5Punakha to Paro

Retrace our drive back to Paro via Dochula, Thimphu, and Chuzom. Upon arrival, experience dressing in traditional Bhutanese attire, trying your hand at archery, and visiting a typical farmhouse to savor a Bhutanese meal with local families. Conclude the day with a relaxing hot stone bath before checking into the hotel in the evening.

Day 6 Hike the Tiger Nest, following in the footsteps of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

Embark on a scenic hike to Paro Taktsang, famously known as the Tiger’s Nest monastery, which builders constructed in 1692. This mystical site sits near a cave where Guru Padmasambhava lived. The figure, known for introducing Buddhism to Bhutan, reportedly meditated for over three months in the eighth century.

Day 7Departure

After breakfast, our representative will pick you up with a private van and drop you off at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport approximately three hours before your scheduled flight back to your home or other destination.
