Royal Trek is one of the easiest treks in Nepal. This royal trek lies in the Annapurna region of Nepal suitable for all and is named after Prince Charles who walked this route in the 1980s. The trail leads you through an easy route with terraced farmlands, and rhododendron forests and you will be blessed with the beautiful panorama view of Himalayan ranges with the northern Annapurna range, Langtang and Mt. Fishtail is simply awe-inspiring. On the royal trek, you will pass through various ethnic villages rich in diverse cultures. It is an awesome opportunity to interact with locals and get some insights into their culture, customs, traditions, and lifestyles.

In the morning, our guide will pick you up from your hotel and then head towards Pokhara which is 220 kilometers far away from Kathmandu. On the way, you can view the vegetation of Nepal and the Trishuli river bank accompanying you throughout your way up to Pokhara. Upon arrival in Pokhara, check in at the hotel and have a rest. Later in the afternoon, you can stroll around Pokhara’s lakeside street and to Phewa Lake’s bank.

Today, we start our journey as we drive to BijayapurKhola to begin our trek. We start our walk for about an hour through flat paddy fields and cross the river. After crossing the river, the trail starts to ascend slowly to Kalikasthan. After arriving at Kalikasthan, we rest for some time and then explore the surrounding areas.

We continue our trekking after breakfast. We walk through the villages and pass through Thulokot to Mati Thana, where there are a few tea shops, followed by a moderate ascend to Naudanda. Continuing along the ridge of the mountain which offers spectacular views of Annapurna and Lamjung Himal, we make a steep but short climb through the forest to the Gurung village of Syaklung. Today, we can explore the village, its locals, and the rhododendron forests.

Continuing our journey, we leave the Gurung village and head to Chisapani. We move ahead playing a game of hiding and seek with the rhododendron trees. Halfway through the walk, the trail drops to 400m and is followed by a 600m ascent for us to arrive at Chisapani. A short distance above Chisopani village is a high knoll where there is a small temple. This is the ChisopaniDanda or the Chisapani ridge-top. This is the best viewpoint to see the Himalayan Panorama. You will see Dhaulagiri to the west of Annapurna.

Today is the final day of our trekking as we find our way back to Pokhara. The trail descends along the field for an hour and then ascends on the stone step into a small valley near Rupa Tal. We continue for a short distance through the rice field. Then we make a final ascent to the ridge that separates Begnas Tal and Rupa Tal. From the ridge, we descend into Begnas Lake and take 30 minutes to drive to Pokhara.

After having breakfast, it’s time to drive back to Kathmandu. It will take you around 6 to 7 hours to reach Kathmandu and lay back and relax while getting back to Kathmandu as today is a long journey. After reaching Kathmandu, you’ll be transferred to your hotel.
