Tour Details

Swargadwari is one of the famous Hindu pilgrimage sites and is located in the Pyuthan district in the western part of Nepal. Swarga means heaven and Dwar means gate. So most of the Hindu religious people believe this is the door of heaven. Hindu people they believe after death most of them want to go to heaven and stay together with gods and goddess. So before death once in their life, they want to visit this place and blessed with god or want to reserve the place in heaven. 

Swargadwari is very important in the view of culture. There are so many small temples and continuing the butter lamp for a hundred years. Cows are the most attraction of this site. There are more than 500 local cows.

Also, you can hike for around 4-5 hrs enjoying the rural life and enticing views of the Jhimruk and Madi Valley or take a bus. After the visit to Swargadari holy site, you can retrace the same way back to Kathmandu.

Itinerary

Day 1Kathmandu to Ghorahi, Dang

We start in the early morning and take a private vehicle to Dang which is a very memorable journey. Dang is the biggest valley in South Asia. Tourists can get the living culture of the Tharu ethnic group. We will travel for about 7 to 8 hours to reach Ghorahi.

Accommodation: Overnight in best available local lodge.

Day 2Dang to Swargadwari

After having your breakfast, you will hike to the Swargadawari temple and on the way to Swargadawari, there is a place called “MasinaGaun where we will have lunch on the side. And after your lunch, you will resume your hike to Swargadawari which will be a very interesting trip with the views of the Dang valley and their different kinds of diversity of the land, cultural, and lifestyle as well. It takes about a full day hiking to reach Swargadawari.

Accommodation: Overnight in the best available local lodge at “Ashram”.

Day 3Swargadwari to Dang

In the morning, you will be praying or do “Special Puja “and hope that God blesses you with the ticket to the stairway to heaven. After sightseeing at Swargadwari, you will return to Ghorahi, Dang. Depending on the speed, if you can descend very fast to Ghorahi then you will have the chance to visit the Gorahi Bazaar and all the concerning places to visit on the same day.

Day 4Dang to Kathmandu

In the morning, we take a bus ride back to Kathmandu.
