Tashi Lapcha Pass with Everest Trek is the 24-day trekking program that acts as a bridge between the most famous Everest regions with another famous trekking i.e. Rolwaling trek. The Tashi Lapcha pass with Everest trek is very challenging as it goes through the remote part of the Himalayan region and in some places, the trekkers must pass through very steep ascends and descend along with passing some passes and crossing the Himalayan streams, rivers, and glaciers. The Tashi Lapcha pass with the Everest trek reflects the most thrilling view of the Jugal Himal, Rolwaling range, Gaurishanker, Mahalangur, Parchamo peak, Chobabhamre, and other ranges. One can also experience the local culture and hard lifestyle of people living in that region whose values are added up with the varieties of existing wild floras and faunas.

Itinerary

Day 1Drive from Kathmandu to Dolakha (1660m) driving duration: 6-7 hours

We commence our journey by driving to Dolakha. Dolakha, the mountainous district of Janakpur Zone is situated in the central Development Region of Nepal. Dolakha’s lowest elevation point is Sital at 723 m, whereas Mt. Gauri Shankar is the area’s highest peak at 7134 m above sea level. Here, you will be able to experience the true and untouched part of the country.

Day 2Dolakha to Shingati (950m) hiking duration: 4-5 hours

Our destination for today is Singati. Singati bazar lies at a distance of 33 km east of Dolakha bazar. The trail passes through the rough road crossing the different villages of the mixed community. We will cross several streams and jungles with varieties of orchids, rhododendrons, and other natural vegetation. Shingati is located at the confluence between the Singati River and the Tamakoshi River, which is the main market center of the northeast part of the Dolakha district. This market is also routed to trek Mt. Gauri Shanker and TshoRolpa Glacier Lake. On reaching Shingati, spend your time resting and relaxing.

Day 3Shingati to Jagat (1440m) hiking duration: 6-7 hours

Today, we commence our way to Jagat. We will walk along the river bank and pass through terraced paddy fields and some small villages on some parts along the trail which are inhabited by the mixed community. We can see the alpine orchid, a few rhododendron trees, etc. in the area. Walking continuously, we will reach Jagat after crossing a suspension bridge.

Day 4Jagat to Simigaon (2020m) hiking duration: 7-8 hours

Our journey for today leads us to the village of Simigaon. Starting the trek, you will be walking through the flat and easy trail and then some ups and downs through the jungle. Both Hindu and Buddhist peoples are the main living habitat of this region and are living in religious and social harmony. On the way, we will find some small tea shops and local shops, serving Tea coffee, and snacks for the trekkers and travelers.

Day 5Simigaon to Daldung La (3976m) hiking duration: 7-8 hours

After lunch, we led our trail through some Sherpa villages in this area. This place is rich in different varieties of flora, fauna, and especially Nepal’s national flower – Rhododendron.

Day 6Daldung La to Beding (3690m) hiking duration: 7-8 hours

We begin our trek from Daldung La to Beding village. Along the way, you will cross suspension bridges over the deep gorges in a few places which make our trek even more enchanting. We must walk for a long time to reach Bedding. The bedding is the village which is the habitat of mainly Sherpa people. As you reach Bedding, you can rest and relax in the natural village environment.

Day 7Acclimatization day

Today is our acclimatization day in Bedding. Use this free day to hike in and around Bedding. We will have a panoramic view of mountains like Mt. Gauri Shanker, Tibetan mountains of the Tibetan border, and the surrounding views.

Day 8Beding to Na (4180m) hiking duration: 4-5 hours

After getting recharged with the previous acclimatization day, we will start trekking to Na. You can also see the rare Snow Partridge and can visit the nearby glacier lake. The trail grows up along the river bank with fresh air and the chatty sound of the river. As you move higher, you will have a panoramic view of the white mountains. When you reach Na, you can see the settlement of the Sherpa community and also can experience the varieties of foods with Sherpa specialty.

Day 9Acclimatization day

Today is our acclimatization in Na. Today’s acclimatization helps us with climbing preparation to Ramdung Go (5930 m.). From Na and its surroundings, we also can witness the magnificent views of mountains like Gauri Shanker, Menlung, Yalung, and some Tibetan mountains.

Day 10Na to Yalung glacier (4750m) hiking duration: 6-7

Today, we start trekking from Na to reach Yalung Glacier (4750 m.). The trek takes us through a glacier with the land enriched with snow. Our crampon and ice sacks will be socked with the glacier and ice. Today, we will be camping at Yalung Glacier High Camp.

Day 11Yallung glacier to Ramdung base camp (5150m) hiking duration: 6-7 hours

Today we commence our trek to reach Ramdung Base Camp (5150 m). We will ascend until we reach Yalung Danda and then we will walk down to Base Camp. If we are lucky, we can witness the majestic mountains such as Gauri Shanker, Menlung, Yalung, and the mountains of the Tibet side as well from a very near distance.

Day 12Climb Ramdung peak (5925m) & descend to Yalung glacier (4750m) hiking duration: 9 hours

Today, we will climb the Ramdung Peak. While being at the summit, we can have panoramic views of Gauri Shankar, Menlung, Yalung, Pigpherogo Shar Peak, Numbur Himal, Yalung Peak, and even the mountains of Tibet. Afterward, return to high camp and descend to Yalung Glacier. We will descend and continue walking until we reach Yalung Glacier.

Day 13Yalung glacier to Na village hiking duration: 6-7 hours

After having breakfast at the Camp, we will commence walking down to reach Na. We can enjoy the scenic environment with the alpine floras and faunas along the way.

Day 14Rest day in Na

Today is our rest day in Na as preparation for trekking to TshoRolpa Lake. We can stroll around the local surroundings and enjoy the environment.

Day 15Na to Tsho Rolpa lake (4540m) hiking duration: 4-5 hours

Today, we commence our trek to TshoRolpa Lake (4540 m). The trail is quite stiff in some of the places. We will be able to witness the beautiful lake filled with the chilling water of the glaciers.

Day 16Tsho Rolpa to Trakarding glacier (4800m) hiking duration: 6-7 hours

From TshoRolpa, we trek to Trakarding Glacier. We will walk through the glaciers throughout the day. We will experience the enchanting natural beauty that will add extra pleasure throughout the walk.

Day 17Trakarding glacier to Tashi Lapcha Phedi camp (5755m) hiking duration: 6-7 hours

After having breakfast, we start our trek from Trakarding Glacier and reach Tashi Lapcha Phedi Camp in the evening. The trail ascends through some rock climbing and a gradual walk on the glacier.

Day 18Tashi Lapcha Phedi to Tashi Cape via Tashi Lapcha pass (5755m) hiking duration: 7-8 hours

We will climb up the Tashi Lapcha Phedi, cross the Tashi Lapcha Pass, and descend to the Tashi Cape. The trial would be covered by snow until we reached Tashi Cape.

Day 19 Tashi Cape to Thyomgbo (4350m) hiking duration: 5-6 hours

Today, we will start walking from Tashi Cave to Thyomgbo. We will also experience a bit of easy glacier walking. The trail descends towards Thyomgbo.

Day 20Thyomgbo to Thame (3820m) hiking duration: 5-6 hours

We trek from Thyomgbo to Thame. The trail gradually descends and we will have an extra experience of an easier trail. Besides, we would also enjoy the natural beauty of the environment.

Day 21Thame to Namche bazaar (3440m) hiking duration: 6-7 hours

Today, we will start trekking to Namche Bazaar. The trail gradually descends near Sanasa. From here, we have a glimpse of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, AmaDablam, Thamserku, and KusumKangaru from the way. We will pass through several villages and cross suspension bridges over the DudhKoshi at PhunkiTenga (3250m.). The trail is very narrow and stiff but is filled with numerous attractions like rhododendron bushes, beautiful birds chirping, and superb mountain scenery. As we reach Namche Bazar, we will spend the remaining time resting and relaxing.

Namche Bazaar

Day 22Namche bazaar to Phakding (2652m) hiking duration: 4-5 hours

After breakfast, we slowly descend to Phakding. In the beginning, the trail descends steeply for one and a half hours and later the path leads with small ups and downs till Phakding.

Day 23Phakding to Lukla (2800m) hiking duration: 2-3 hours

Today is our last day of the trek. From Phakding, we will continue our trek to reach Lukla from where we will catch a flight to get back to Kathmandu the next morning. It takes about 3 hours for us to reach Lukla. The trail follows through the DudhKoshi River to get back down to Lukla.

Day 24Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu, flight duration: 30 minutes

Checkout from the lodge to catch the early flight from Lukla to get back to the capital, Kathmandu. You will be transferred to your respective hotel. You can spend the remaining time strolling around the city or you can also engage yourself in shopping Nepal’s token of love for your nearest and dearest ones. This marks the end of Tashi Lapcha’s pass with the Everest Trek.
