Tour Details

Tent Peak (5663), known as Tharpu Chuli lies in the south of the Annapurna Base Camp. We trek in the Annapurna region which has the diverse natural vegetation, animal species, local traditions & culture of Nepal. Our main mission is to summit the peak from where we can get magnificent views of the mountains. Our treks begin from Nayapul, near Pokhara.

Price Includes

  • All land transportation by private vehicle.
  • 2-night hotel accommodation in 4*Yatri Suites & Spa or similar in Kathmandu on breakfast basis.
  • 2-nights hotel accommodation in Hotel crystal Palace or Similar including breakfast.
  • 12-nights accommodation in available local lodge throughout the trek on full board basis.
  • As mentioned the hotel accommodations are a twin-sharing basic.
  • An experienced, English-speaking and government-licensed holder trekking Guide.
  • All porter (one porter can carry 18 kilo of luggage and share between two clients. So both clients are suggested to bring 9 kilo of luggage each).

Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)

Welcome! To Kathmandu Nepal. Asian Heritage Treks & Travel Representative welcome you at the Airport with your nameplate. Your hotel will be downtown at Touristic Hub. Our representative will facilitate you and discuss your travel itinerary. There will be enough time to stroll through the street of Thamel.

Day 2Kathmandu to Pokhara (822 m/2,696 ft) driving duration: 6 hours

Drive to Pokhara

Day 3Drive to Nayapul and trek to Ghandruk (1940 m) duration: 5-6 hours

We drive around 1 hour to reach Nayapul where we will start our trek. Upon reaching Birethanti, we trek uphill on the trail to Ghandruk passing through beautiful villages/settlements. We cross the suspension bridge over Khumbu Khola and finally reach Ghandruk. A supreme vantage point in this pristine & serene village offers breathtaking views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Machhapuchhre, and Hiunchuli. Several hotels and teahouses in the village give us a warm welcome with sincere Nepalese hospitality while catering to the requirements of all trekkers’ who hit the trail through this village. Camping in its terraced fields gives you the open wild feelings of adventure.

nayapul to pokhara

Day 4Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2170 m) duration: 6 hours

We climb up to Ghandruk and then descend to the Kimron Khola. After another steep ascent from Kimron Khola, we walk about an hour to take a steep climb continuing up to Chhomrong – a beautiful village located on the lap of the Annapurna massive.

Day 5Chhomrong to Dobhan (2,600 m) duration: 5-6 hours

We move along Modi Khola cross a suspension bridge over Chhomrong Khola reach Sinuwa and pass through a thick rhododendron forest up to Khuldighar. Then we reach Dobhan.

Day 6Dobhan to Deurali (3,200 m/10,499 ft) duration: 1 hour 30 mins

On this day we walk through the Himalaya Hotel and Hinku Cave before reaching Deurali. The short trek allows us to acclimatize to the high altitude and prepare for the next day’s trip.

Day 7Deurali to Machhapuchre base camp (3700 m) duration: 3-4 hours

Walk to Machhapuchhre Base Camp is somehow tough but the views it offers are worth it.

Day 8Acclimatization and preparation

This is the day set aside for acclimatization. We will have a day here for the acclimatization. Health experts recommend that you stay active and move around even during the rest day instead of being idle.

Day 9Machhapuchre base camp to Cave camp (4,250 m/13,944 ft) duration: 5-6 hours

The trail from the glacier takes us to the base camp of Annapurna South. Anyway, we move straight pass the bridge and continue until reaching the Cave camp.

Day 10Cave camp to High camp (5,200 m) duration: 4-5 hours

We then climb quite a steep trail to the Tent Peak (Tharpu Chuli) High Camp. We ascend on a 50-60 degree steep path for about a couple of hours and walk on a glacier. From there we get splendid views. After that, we will move around for a while.

Day 11Summit tent peak (Tharpu Chuli), return to high camp, duration: 9-10 hours

Early morning breakfast and then start our summiting mission as there is a high wind in the afternoon. We walk on a wall rock for a couple of hours and then we climb a steep slope and reach the summit of Tent Peak/ Tharpu Chuli. After summiting the peak, we retrace the same way back.

Day 12Tent peak high camp to Machapuchhre base camp, Duration: 4-5 hours

We descend to Machhapuchhre base camp from high camp using the same trail as previous. After reaching the Machhapuchhre base camp, we will have a rest.
Accommodation: Overnight in a local lodge.

Day 13Machapuchhre base camp to Bamboo (2310 m/7575 ft) duration: 6-7 hours

Again we retrace the same way back to Bamboo, enjoying the nice views of waterfalls, forests, and mountains.

Day 14Bamboo to Jhinu Dada (1760 m/5770 ft) duration: 6-7 hours trek

We ascend to Kuldi Ghar from Bamboo and then to Sinuwa following the stone steps that take to Lower Chhomrong. We then ascend to Upper Chhomrong. From Chhomrong we descend to Jhinu Danda.

Day 15Jhinu Dada to Nayapul, drive to Pokhara: 6 hours trek, 1 hour drive

We start our trek after breakfast till we reach for lunch at Syauli bazaar and then down to Birethanti. From Birethanti, we trek for about an hour to reach Nayapul where the trek ends. From Nayapul we take a vehicle and reach Pokhara in about an hour.
Accommodation: Overnight in Hotel Crystal Palace or Similar Pokhara. 

Day 16Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu, driving duration: 6 hours

In the morning, we will start our drive to Kathmandu along with the scenic way. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will have a rest in your hotel.
Accommodation: Overnight in Yatri Suites & Spa or Similar.

Day 17Departure

Your trip will come to an end today. You will be advised and assisted with your onward travel arrangements and transfer to Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport by private transport around 3 hours before your flight schedule and flight back to your home/other travel destination.
