Tour Details

Dhulikhel- Namo Buddha- Balthali- Khopasi is a short hiking tour that takes you to the beautiful hiking destinations near Kathmandu, with the escape of hustle & bustle, along with nice landscapes and villages of Nepal as you move along with terraced farmlands and so on. The splendid views of mountains, hills, and popular monasteries are the main attractions of this hike. Dhulikhel is a popular hiking destination near Kathmandu known for its green and pristine surroundings. The temples, monasteries, and villages that we pass through en route are a chance to get immersed in the culture and lifestyle of people in Nepal.

Namo Buddha, a beautiful and artistic monastery is the major highlight. According to Buddhist mythology, it is a place where the great prince SemchenChenpo sacrificed himself to fulfill the hunger of the Cubs for a tigress. The hungry tigress had just given birth to her young cubs and she was unable to move because of hunger and weakness that was noticed by the great prince SemchenChenpo. Unable to see the misery, the prince sacrificed himself in front of the tigress and willingly became her food to revive her from hunger and weakness.
