After landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by a representative of Asian Heritage Treks and Expeditions who will drop us off at our hotel. We then check in at the hotel, freshen up and take a rest.

You will start off with a flight to one of the world’s most exciting airports – Lukla Airport in Solukhumbu. The flight takes you over the Himalayas giving you a breathtaking panorama view of the Himalayas, including the famous Mt.Everest, standing there with its snow-clad peak in all its glory. As the flight continues, you can feel Mt. Everest grow on you. Landing at Lukla airport is going to be a lifetime experience in itself. The altitude will hit you the moment you get off the plane.
In the afternoon you can stroll around the Lukla. Lukla village is a popular place to visit in the Khumbu area. It is the starting point for all hiking trips in the Everest region.

From Lukla, you will start the trek along the Dudh Koshi (Milky River) which can be seen meandering into the horizon. You will be trekking amidst a rhododendron forest which gives off a strong aroma of evergreen oak. The sighting of snowy peaks acts as an indicator that the trek is gradually going to get more challenging and the beginning of an adventure that will test one’s mental and physical strength. All the way up, you are going to witness the flowing of snow-fed rivers eventually arriving at Mongo after crossing the suspension bridge and passing through several Buddhist Stupas. In the evening you can stroll around Manjo village.

The trail will start off relatively easy but will gradually become harder. You will be able to get your first glimpse of Everest as you are crossing the mighty Dudh Koshi. As you proceed further the trail will lead you to Manjo where you could make a lunch stopover. The next part of the trail will be more difficult. The trail becomes steeper and will gain in altitude as we head towards Namche, leaving one with shortness of breath. One should not haste but rather progress slowly and steadily. You will be making a pit stop at Namche Bazaar for the night. It bustles with activity and the people of the Solukhumbu region conjugate in that area to do business. There are shops, restaurants, hotels, banks, and internet services which enable you to still get in touch with your loved ones back home. Namche Bazaar offers an interesting insight into how the people in the region live.

Namche Bazaar is also known as the Sherpa Capital. You can use your time to acclimatize, relax and explore the surrounding places. Most of the trekkers prefer to get up before sunrise to view the magnificent views of Mount Everest, Thamserku, AmaDablam, and other glorious peaks from the Sagarmatha National Park. One can get a chance to observe the shadow of the mountains being pan-projected onto the clouds above and truly appreciate their magnitude. As an energy supplier, one should try salt-butter tea and Champa – a kind of barley often consumed by the Sherpa in the region. The lively cultural Saturday market is worth a visit and is usually full of traders who are trying to desperately sell off their products.

On the sixth day of your Everest Base Camp trek, you’ll make your way from the village of Namche Bazaar to Tengboche. Although it will be one of the most challenging days of the trek in terms of elevation gain (around 3,900 meters/12,795 feet), it will also be the most rewarding as you get to take in the breathtaking views of the Everest Mountain Range.

You will head from the Tengboche to Dingboche. It will be an absolutely beautiful day as you make your way through the valley with the glacier river down below and the snow-capped peaks out in the distance. Along the trek you will pass by the village of Pangboche as well as the famous mountain of Ama Dablam, surely making this a memorable day of your Nepal hiking experience.

We start to trek and follow the trekking trail to Everest Base Camp. Step uphill trek from the Thukla to Memorial Park, it is the most difficult part of the whole Everest Base Camp trekking trail. This route has points that are mesmerizing views of nature’s beauty. On the way, you can commerce with many prayer flags from the many brave mountaineers. Once you have reached Lobuche (the second-highest village on the EBC trail) you can spend a night there.

Due to the climate at that altitude, the trail that leads to Gorakshep is sparse. Along the way, the trail will be blanketed by snow. From this high vantage point, you will be able to get unbelievable panoramic views of Mt. Everest and its neighboring peaks.
After arriving at Gorakshep we are all set for a well-deserved rest, however, if you feel energetic enough then you can also visit Kala Patthar the same day for a stunning sunset view over the Himalayas.

The next destination is Kala Patthar standing at 5450m (Kala meaning black and Patthar meaning rock) followed by a visit to the Everest Base Camp. One will be treated to a sight of nature at its finest and rawest form; an incredible view of Mount Everest and the Khumbu Glacier Valley. After the challenging trek, you will trek back down to Gorakshep, where you will be able to catch a meal and hopefully a warm sleep.

The plan is to trek back to Namche Bazaar. The trail follows down to the Dudh Kosi where there are a series of water-driven prayer wheels. The trek continues back to the Sagarmatha National Park through paths of Pine and Cedarwoods. On the way you will be able to see the Lhotse- Nuptse Wall will Everest peeking from behind. You can stop to appreciate the surreal view. Eventually, after a few hours of trekking, you will reach Namche where you will be staying for the night.

The trail follows down and crosses the Dudh Kosi where there are a series of water-driven prayer wheels. The trek continues back to the Sagarmatha National Park through the paths of Pine and Cedarwoods and ends in the Chumoa village- a beautiful village to have lunch. After that, the trail runs along the riverside until Phakding. As you trek onwards to Lukla, the disappearing sight of the snowy peaks in the distance acts as an indicator that the most difficult part has passed and the start of an end of an exciting and magnificent adventure that has pushed one to one’s limits. You will be entering through a rhododendron forest which gives off a strong aroma of evergreen oak and trek along the Dudh Koshi (Milky River) which can be seen meandering into the horizon. After a few hours, you will reach Lukla where you can relax and immerse yourself in the local culture.

The flight back to Kathmandu leaves before 10:00 am. The scheduled flight time can sometimes change according to the weather conditions. Once back in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel where you will have the day off to rest and reflect on your trip.

Approximately 3 hours before the departure of your flight, you will be transferred to Kathmandu international airport where we guide you to the check-in hall. From here we hope you had an amazing journey through our country, Nepal. And we hope to see you again.
