Muktinath word is derived from “Mukti” means “Salvation/Nirvana” and “Nath” means “God or Master“. It is the holy site where thousands of devotees flock for attaining the moksha (Freedom) from the cycle of birth and rebirth. It is also regarded as Muktichhetra (place of salvation), one of the four religious sites.
