TIMS (Trekkers’ Information Management System)

Trekkers’ Information Management System (TIMS) card is a mandatory Langtang Trek Permits for all trekkers visiting the Langtang region. It was introduced by the Nepal Tourism Board and Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) to ensure the safety and security of trekkers.

There are two types of TIMS cards: Green TIMS and Blue TIMS. The Green TIMS card costs USD 10 and is for individual trekkers, while the Blue TIMS card costs USD 20 and is for trekkers traveling with a group. You can obtain the TIMS card from the Nepal Tourism Board office in Kathmandu or through authorized trekking agencies.

Langtang National Park Permit

Langtang National Park is one of the most prominent attractions in the region, known for its diverse flora and fauna, serene landscapes, and stunning mountain vistas. To enter the Langtang National Park, you must obtain a Langtang National Park Permit.

The permit fee for foreigners is NPR 3,000 (approximately USD 30) per person. This permit can be obtained from the Nepal Tourism Board office in Kathmandu or the Langtang National Park entry checkpoint in Dhunche.

Restricted Area Permit (if applicable)

If you plan to explore further into the restricted areas of Langtang, such as Ganja La Pass or Helambu, additional Langtang Trek Permits are required. These restricted areas are subject to special regulations due to their proximity to the Tibetan border.

The Langtang restricted area permit costs USD 20 per person per week. You can obtain this permit from the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu or through authorized trekking agencies.
