It is a popular hiking destination in the Lalitpur district that lies above the national botanical garden of Godawari in the Kathmandu valley. Shivapuri Hiking

It is located within the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. It covers an area of 144km square and it is linked with Nuwakot, Sindhupalchowk, and Dhading districts.
