Trekkers’ Information Management System (TIMS)
The Trekkers’ Information Management System (TIMS) card is a mandatory Langtang Trek Permit for all trekkers visiting the Langtang region. The Nepal Tourism Board and Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) launched this initiative to ensure trekkers’ safety and security.
There are two types of TIMS cards: green TIMS and blue TIMS. The Green TIMS card is $10 for solo trekkers, and the Blue TIMS card is $20 for groups. You can obtain the TIMS card from the Nepal Tourism Board office in Kathmandu or through authorized trekking agencies.
Langtang National Park Permit
Langtang National Park, renowned for its diverse flora and fauna, serene landscapes, and stunning mountain vistas, is a top attraction. To enter Langtang National Park, you must obtain a Langtang National Park Permit.

The permit fee for foreigners is NPR 3,000 (approximately USD 30) per person. You can get this permit from the Nepal Tourism Board office in Kathmandu. Also, the Langtang National Park entry checkpoint in Dhunche.
Restricted Area Permit (if applicable)
Exploring restricted areas like Ganja La Pass or Helambu within Langtang requires additional Langtang Trek Permits. These restricted areas are subject to special regulations due to their proximity to the Tibetan border.
The Langtang restricted area permit costs USD 20 per person per week. You can obtain this permit from the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu or through authorized trekking agencies.

Climbing Permits
For climbing expeditions to peaks in the Langtang region like Yala Peak or Naya Kanga, additional climbing permits are required.
